Okay, I'm kinda new to photoshop and I was doing this tutorial for a sig I was making... there was something that came up, but I didn't know what it was and I needed it for the next step. It's called C4D...
Just in case, I'm going to put the context it was used in... 'Duplicate your render and bring it above all the rest of your layers. Add in a C4D and set it to lighten 60%....'
I have no idea what it means....

Here's what I've been working on so far though....

Sorry I couldn't help earlier since I was so out of it XD

But now I kinda get what you were saying. I'll give you a quick tour of Photoshop with a screenshot since it's a bit easier to explain ^__^

A few helpful terms as I know them:

Render - Is generally the stock, or cut out picture. It also can mean the ACT of cutting out an object/person from the background; depending on the context

C4D - Is short of Cinema 4D which is a program used to make complicated looking 3D images here are examples. They're actually called 3D renders, since C4D is just one name of the many programs used to make them. But C4D/3D Renders generally are referring to the same thing. They're normally huge in size so you don't lose much detail if you want to resize it and use only a portion of the whole thing, and most are transparent so it's JUST the 3D render you've got and not the white/black background. It's best to use ones that suit the general flow of the sig, and you can always erase out parts you don't like. 3DR's are just there for background and depth purposes. You CAN make your own using free programs...but I personally find it impossible XD

Now I'm not sure if you meant that you didn't know what "Lighten" and the percentage thing meant so I'll explain those a bit too...and sorry if you DO know >_<

Lighten is a layer blending mode, along with all those other ones you see. When a tut refers says "Set layer to..." usually means blending mode. And the percentage is referring to the Opacity of the layer. (highlighted yellow). If it's the Fill they're talking about they will say that since it's not often used.

But that's as best as I can help you, sorry if I said what you already knew XD But if there's anything else more specific you'd like to know then just shout me out =)
