Not that the second one doesn't look nice, it just doesn't like... have anything to it. It's just a few blending modes over an image. It DOES look good, but as a sig, nothin really.
The first one has nice colors, interesting images, and the quote is nice too. Just overall a more "complete" image I guess u could say
but props to both of u

Piece number one gets my vote. I think the blending from the face to the background could have been a tad smoother (and the overall transition of backgrounds), but otherwise it is very appealing visually. Number two has more of a nonchalant, subtle feel to it with the colors/textures, but I much prefer the look of #1.
Good work though, both of you =).

piece 2 gets the win for me... i dont know what it is about the first one but i just cant seem to rap my head around it and enjoy it. I am going to say this but I am not trying to be mean, but the first one to me just looks, well, ugly. There i said it.. Going with the 2nd one, i like it, i like the effects .

I voted for number one. It just seems a lot more thought out and it's a lot more visually appealing in my opinion. Great work to both

I'm more drawn in towards the 2nd one.
and thus it got my vote
I'm not one to judge, which is better. but I personally like the 2nd one better.
it's enticing

Piece 1 would've so owned if the text and the border didn't ruin it for me =/. I just think the text isn't needed, then the border might have just gotten away if the text wasn't white and made me notice the randomness of the border. I like the stock and the style overall. The text and border just put me off =/
Piece 2 is nifty and gives a whole illusion sort of effect which adds to the effectiveness of the stock. I kind of think something's missing from it though for some reason... Maybe it would have a better affect if the blurry cloud effect was spread around outside of the "main boundary" of the sig.
Honestly speaking, both weird pieces and have their good and bad points. I gues it's Piece 2 for me since although, I felt it was missing something, it's better to miss something than to add too much on my part.
