I just listened to the ending speech again and I had my sound at max, yet I still can't tell if the annoying fool says "God" or "gone" in that sentence. Just wondering what everyone else thinks. It would make sense if he said "God", considering what he tried to achieve, but on the other hand he could also have said "gone", which would be referring to Sophia.

So, thoughts?

I just tried to listen to it one youtube, with a decent quality also, but its just aint clear.

I am going with gone because Krelian knew what God really was, and at that point so did we as players, and its doubtful he would seek redemption from "that" so its really possible that it was gone what he said referring to Sophia who was the most important person to him and it would certainly be the one that he seeks redemption and forgiveness from.

I'm in agreement with Raz.

Certainly, Krelian had more love for Sophia than God, to begin with. After realizing what 'god' was, and how wrong he had been, it's pretty obvious that the statement was meant for Sophia. I wasn't a big fan of Krelian till I watched this particular scene. It kind of made me realize that even though he was a jerk, it was because he wasn't able to protect Sophia, much less say goodbye. Add onto that his hate for Lacan and you've got a guy whose pretty much lost everything.

Except Sophia wasn't gone, she was reincarnated into Elly - she remembers some of the events too, and I pretty clearly heard God. If he doesn't say God, then him sprouting wings and flying off has a much lesser impact, really. By God, of course, he means the Wave Existence, not Deus.

I dont think thats the way Krelian felt about it. Sure, The Mother reincarnates every generation but its not really the same Mother at all much like Fei is not Kim or Lacan. Even so, two Contacts can be alive at the same time and act as two different people like the case with Grahf.

Sophia is truly gone, she dies in the battleship battle.

I'm leaning more towards it being "gone" myself as well. But I know there are people who swear by it being "God" (hi, Denim =P ). The game script on Gamefaqs for example also states it as being "God". But I personally think that it's "gone" too, especially because Krelian sheds a tear right after saying it. It seems to have more of an impact if he was referring to Sophia, but that's just me.
