Evolve
To leave is hard,
But return should not come to pass
Traipse tamed and untamed lands
Gallivant through sparse deserts
Be a prodigal of mesmerizing experiences
Think of past, but hope for it not
Ford raging rivers
Make due with what you got
Emancipate yourself from the numbing poison
Missed your home always will be
Never look back, trudge onward
Think of home, but yearn it not

Preside In Me
You bore yourself deep this time
Into all new cavities
Exhale that held breath, lush
Now turn to knock the wind from me
At the waterfront where we made our second home
The day caving fast as the skyline mauled the shore
Exchanging glances fiercely behind electric tone
This is where those words of love just blend and drone
We stayed until the sun hovered just above the trees
When nothing mattered more than the grass beneath our knees
And summer came, thawing our chests with newlywed breath
We traced the air with our lips and parted at the neck
But when Autumn came with hand outstretched, and new eras in mind
You stole an aura of your own and kindly gestured your decline
Though we drift on in memory, you still kept stowaway...
This is where those words of love just ebb and gray.

A Poetic Letter To A Friend
Remember when we used to climb that tree,
Wandering upwards the jungle of greenery,
Our hands sticking out, trying to touch the clouds?
Upon each other, fingers stumbling,
To reach the top, aspiring…
…Inexperienced young minds,
Naive, yet carefree souls,
The period of innocent childhood,
When life was all fun and games,…
Hey! Remember the bush behind I hid,
Or when across the wall I peeked?
Friends gathered,
Smiling faces everywhere,
Laughter and shouting blended,
We held hands together,
Cutting through the bond,
Breaking the ice,
Social barriers quickly dissolved,
Dazzling joy sew my life,
Continuous fun created paradise,
Slow-paced rhythm of living,
Playing all day on the street,
A great childhood it had been.
Devilish adolescence,
A malicious perseverance,
Spinning roulette changing the threads of destiny,
Sculpting wrath and evilness around me.
Look!
Missed friends are far,
Ones seeming near are becoming distant,
Forgetting to ring my phone,
I guess,
…attention is performing its act of disappearance.
Eh! He occasionally used to pull my hand,
Excitement prevailed whenever we met,
Sophisticated greetings echoed through the hall.
Calling out each others names, amused, yes, I was!
The quirky “hello” vanished,
Together with his availability
Countless excuses,
Mysterious, like detective cases,
…here we go again, wondering what will be next.
And you, my best friend,
With whom I used to play,
Are being absent this weekend again,
I’m yearning someone close to confide to,
As I’m writing this letter to you.
Sitting below the tree we used to climb,
You remember, right?...
There’s no one else beside me left,
I’m talking to myself again.
Empty loneliness,
Long gone togetherness,
Longing for creative changes.
Sorrow escapes through my mouth as I sigh.
Unpredictable future, yes it is!
All I’m left are unrealistic dreams,
Imaginative spirit of mine,
Wild and untamed,
Trapped in a cage.
Enjoying only the bitter-sweet taste of the nostalgia left behind.

Reminisce
It's been nearly a decade
Since I have seen you, here in this place.
It's been nearly a century
Since I kissed you underneath that tree.
It's been nearly a lifetime
Since I held you in my arms,
within this facade.
All of those moments have long since past
Me. Here I lie in Hell, and I
dream of a time with you.
A time of innocence; naive fools
dancing in the sun, who knew we were
destined to fall.
Time passes by,
and I just get older.
Where have you gone?
Have you moved on?
Oh that's right,
you died.

Immortal Soul
Climbing down those alabaster stairs
Echoing your majestic beauty with each motion,
Shining like the mid-day sun
Stealing my breath, as winds knock back tidal waves,
Glistening in descent, of heavenly birth
Glancing my direction with a smile -with that smile!-
Noticing a man as I, poor and bereaved
A miracle such as this existing only to slumber,
Yet seeing you now, a mirage or facade?
Genuine you’ve proven, running to me arms outstretched
Embracing me you wept, tears of joy each shared.
No mortal of this earth could have done what you have
Rousing me in a triumphant chorus,
Elegant strumming against the chords of my heart
As a harp, careful to tune, more gently yet you play
Here in my arms, you elevate my thought
Leading me to dance above all
Standing across from me, one hand on my waist,
Forgetting my fears, I step through the hole.
Holding onto you, I fear no foul play,
Looking in your eyes, I feel that sweet escape
From reality and from sin,
You give me your power to relive a moment,
Recreate the emotion from so long ago.
I feel so helpless under your power,
A reincarnation of sorts?
Slowly you falter, collapsing in my arms,
It was too great to be true
Yet here you are still, smiling in my arms, faint,
How long have I yearned for you again,
Now you are here with me now
And I’m never letting you go.
