I hate MLG. I always have. WHY does the game have to be changed to emphasize " skill ". Is the game broken? Is the default settings nothing more than pure junk? Does it not require any skill to play now? I don't see why MLG has to come in and make little changes to the game to make them feel like they're making the game for the more " skilled " when they're really not changing much at all except changing starting weapons, spawn points, and weapon spawns. I know the real reason. People cry because they're not able to work the maps and get their own BR.
In fact I've yet to see them really change any starting weapons or weapon spawns in any other MLG sponsored game. Not that I can remember at least.
I find it funny that they're going to offer help on how to play better... How can we do that? Like any other game no one can really be any better once you have it figured out. Sure there's always the prodigies, but in my opinion in a video game any one person can be as good as another. I just don't see what they're going to show us that hasn't already been shown? Not everyone is a complete noob who walks around with one SMG or passes up the better weapons as they walk the map. I'm VERY interested to see what MLG has to offer that any seasoned player doesn't already know.
I'll be avoiding this playlist. I like my AR start, thanks.
I don't expect much response to this though... The 360 kids here seem to avoid the only half way decent games for the system and just buy whatever looks neat in the commercials.

Major League Gaming (MLG) announced that Halo 3's Team Hardcore playlist is being rebranded as the MLG Playlist. The change will become effective in the April update and more details are to follow on what this exactly means.
According to MLG, they've helped develop game types that ensure fair competition and emphasize skill. Bungie will incorporate these settings in the new playlists. MLG also states that it will produce a series called "Get Better Fast" to familiarize players with strategies and tactics used by MLG pros. At least this puts the competitivewhiners men of stature in one place. Now, Bungie, can we please get a post-puberty non-racist/homophobic/dumb-trash-talk playlist?
