I just finished reading the Prince of Tennis manga and I loved it! The final battle against Rikkai Daigaku Fuzoku was well done and kept me waiting for the next move. I was surprised that Tezuka fall in defeat to Sanda]. I did not expect that to happen. I knew that Echizen would face off against Yukimura, but I did not expect Tezuka to go down during the first match. If I had to pick a disappointing factor about the final match, it would be that Echizen and Yukimura final match could have been better, but it became one sided once Echizen reached the "Pinnacle of Perfection". Also, the entire feel of the series during the National Tournament became more exaggerated to point it seem ridiculous. It's even worse in the anime, but I did not mind that too much. An example of what I would be talking about would be Echizen match against Sanda during the finals at the Kanto Tournament when Echizen used the Cyclone Smash against Sanda. Another example would the how the one point match Echizen had with Kintaro in the OVA. Overall, like I said, it didn't bother me too much.

The OVA giving us the conclusion that the anime series should have. With the addition of the OVA, the majority of the Prince of Tennis manga plot ended up being animated, which is great since I loved the series. I did not like how the anime ended leaving the fued between Seigaku and Rikka Daigaku Fuzoku open. After all, Yukimura wasn't present during the Kanto Tournament and he's proclaim as being one of the best tennis players in middle school. He made a recovery, but the series ended with Echizen going to America shorty after anime only plot of Kevin and American players came to play against Japan ended, with the ending ended up being Echizen coming back to face off against Tezuka in a over exaggerated match. Glad the OVA ended up being released. I can't wait until it's finished. Only one more match left and that's the battle against Rikka Daigaku Fuzoku.

Did you finished reading the manga, which concluded earlier this month? Are you watching the OVA of the National Tournament? I thought there be a couple of Prince of Tennis fans here on the forum?
