Hey, I was responding to the thread in the FF forum about if Sephiroth would become good or not over time/ re-hash's of FFVII. So I got to thinking.

So we learn from KH2 that Sephiroth is Clouds "dark half" (no spoiler there). Here's the spoiler:

After defeating him in KH2, there's the WICKED COOL battle between him and Cloud and then Cloud runs after him into another dimension.

Now back to the visible world:

What are thoughts of bringing him back in KH3??? I think he definately should. I haven't played one yet (still waiting for it to go down in price a little more...) so I don't know what happens in KH1. It appears that he just comes back. I think it would be SWEET to have him as an event character like Auron was in KH2.

Imagine this: You go back to Nibelheim as a stage area and play through the area that is taken over by a resurgence of Organization XIII (or something of the like) and you go into Sephiroth's POV as to the events that took place when with Cloud/Zack. Then, his "darker" part comes out when you see him reviewing his past and that comes out beserked and ready to totally kick butt. You defeat his darker half and then he comes to his senses and agrees to help you as a summon or something sweet like that. Imagine.... omnislashing bosses left and right... mmmmm

So, thoughts???

Well he probably will be back as a boss, but as for his story POV in Nibelheim, so far the KH games haven't had any Final Fantasy worlds. The worlds are either Disney or original.
There hasn't been much of his or Cloud's story in the game. Only a bit of story reference during the boss fight.

He'll definitely be back, maybe with a little more story between himself and CLoud because they seemed to build upon that in KH3. I still think he'll be he hardest boss in the game, and I SERIOUSLY doubt any FF worlds will be in it (although id LOVE that to happen), only becuase it seems the story is becoming more of its own instead of stealing from Disney and FF.

Sephiroth will probably be there as one of the hardest bosses in the game, who will be there for you to defeat so that Cloud can battle him later. Maybe they will make a few twists and turns to make him a party selectable but I doubt it. Speaking of party members, I would love to see some other FF characters besides Auron to be available.

Argh! No FF worlds please (although an original world resembling a cyber-punk city such as Midgar would be welcomed). Sephiroth will most likely be in KH3 as an optional boss again... although I see them doing something a little more with Tifa, Cloud and Sephiroth but it would be side story and most certainly wouldn't take up too much of the game... much like how it was in KH2.

I doubt very much Sephiroth will ever be a playable character... although if KH3 is a prequel then I guess Crisis Core Sephiroth could be in it. I'm always confused by the "dark half" thing, maybe they had intended for Sephiroth to be Cloud's heartless or Nobody...

I really think that's what they were going for. It fit the theme of the game where people succumb to the darkness. It just happened that Cloud's "heartless" is in a tangible form such as Namine/Roxas was.

Also, Seeing that KH3 will be a prequel (forgot about that... ) It would be more probable/cool to have him as his CC/Final Missions self. Who knows, eh???

I'm sure he'll be back, even if it's beginning to get a little old. Depending on how soon/late the FF13 games come out, maybe we'll see some new FF bosses that'll do away with the Sephiroth over-hype that's continued for a little too long. Not that it wasn't great for a while, but I can definitely say I won't be as thrilled to fight him as I was in the 1st 2 games. Either way, I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing him one more time, just hopefully with a twist on things to keep it fresh.

Just to clarify something, there is a Final Fantasy world: Hollow Bastion. If any of you paid any attention to the first game, Leon and Cid both mention how it was their home until Ansem turned it into a hell-hole.
The other storylines for the final fantasy characters don't exist. A good example of this is Aeris being alive.

And with the recent information being released about 358/2 days and Birth by Sleep, any speculation for KH3 will be flawed. We just don't know the entire story yet, and once we do, we can start to predict what Kingdom Hearts 3 will be all about.

And with Sephy, I doubt he's going to be in either of the 2 games coming out. I could possibly see him appear in 258/2 days, but only as a random side character to further his own personal story, not as a boss or ally.

I believe that when people refer to Final Fantasy worlds they want to see in KH, they mean established Final Fantasy worlds from Final Fantasy games; not worlds that may belong to the FF characters in KH. Unless I’m incorrect in saying, Hollow Bastion was a world made exclusively for that game, therefore it’s a “KH world”, instead of a Disney world.

You're right, Hollow Bastian was created exclusively for Kingdom Hearts, but it was created specifically to avoid creating Final Fantasy worlds. The existance of Disney within the games was the highlight point, the final fantasy aspect to it was kind of just thrown in there. It had purpose, but the Final Fantasy portion of the game was never meant to spread farther than Traverse Town or Hollow Bastian. Creating worlds based off of Final Fantasy would be almost against the entire development of Kingdom Hearts.
Also, the entire story for all of the FF characters is focused on repairing Hollow Bastian. Throwing in FF worlds now would kill the plot that has been developing throughout the entire series.
