http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/crime/200...er.burglar.kcrgWe've often reported of theft of people's PSP's and PS3's. Now we finally get to report on some vigilante justice -- a woman, former boxer Derdre Rodriguez, caught a burglar trying to get her PlayStation 3 and PSP out of her house. She did what anyone with love for video games would: she grabbed an ice chipper and went after the burglar. After what we can applaud as a complete success, she managed to protect her beloved goods.
she busted his ass in the head with an Ice Chipper.. Fool had to go to the hospital afterwards for a head injury.. thats brilliant, chased his ass down the block, knocked him in the head and then drug him back to her house making him pick up her stuff along the way.

Thats cool stuff. I for one would never steal something from a girl for the simple fact they may own you some day.

Rock and Roll!!! She took him out Jack Bauer style!!! With an Ice Chipper to the FACE!!!!
Rock on for protecting your house. Never mess with either ex-Boxer or ex-Softball players. (The Softball players could lift more than some of the guys on the swim team... creepy...)

I think a lot of women would have let it happen. Given that this woman was a former boxer it shows she has grit a lot of women wouldn't.

That guy must suck at life if he breaks into house to steal PS3s, only to get run down successfully by a grown woman, and somehow allow her to kick ur ass with a pickaxe

That's what happens when you steal, someday someone is going to beat you up, either way he had what was coming to him.

Try over about possibly $800 dollars worth of video game system with the PS3/PSP depending on when bought? I'd have chased the ###### down too.

Not to be too against the crowd here (well, except Cel), but I would have to say that was rather unnecessary. Sure, get your stuff back (in a civilized manner)), but hashing at the guy with an ice chipper? I fail to see how that justifies anything, and even less how it says anything good about the woman. Is there a charge for battery or anything like that against the woman, considering she did wound the man? No, of course not, why am I even asking? He stole from her, she landed him in the hospital. Sweet justice.

he stole, why should she take things lightly on him? so he can come back and do it again? plus she has kids in her house, should she just let the guy off easy so next time he can do more damage? I think she was right in how she acted, she has a right to protect her home and property. He is the dumbass who robbed her, so i can feel no sympathy at all for him. You do wrong and you get owned, end of story, you lost your rights when you ##### up.

Well that won't be a problem as she likely will not get fined if he sued her as he has nothing to back up that claim after he tried to rob her house, sure she went a bit over the line, I just hope that the kids weren't there to see that. Either way, she had no choice as the guy could've been armed and that he probably would have shot her if she didn't take the initiative.

I have only a simple answer for you two, but I don’t know who it’s from.
“Why do we teach children that violence is not the answer, yet have teachers in school teach about all the wars that solved America’s problems?”
