The new current sig and avi:

A bunch of sigs in honor of the Persona3:FES Release:

And revised Vincent sig from that animated crap abomination:

Voyou San
to be honest the only one that really stands out, slaps me in the face and say, OMG LOOK AT ME I PWN is the Orpheus sig, the rest just look more or less like carbon copies of the one before it. Plus i like the color and design best in the Orpheus sig. Good work though, they are all still well done
LagunaWannabe
And a new one, with a style i've never tried or done before, just for experimenting

And a break from Persona, a little FF5 Action:

And some Death Note Action:

Red_ryaN
lookin good man
I'm diggin the 2nd one (the yellow one. in case I can't count o.O)
Theferrell
Nice Death Note one. Me likey.
LagunaWannabe
Another new one, I really like the CG versions of the FF5 characters, so I made another with Edge, the badass ninja

Manc
I agree with Voyou San the Orpheus sig look the best here, but the Aigis Sig attracts me too somehow!
Dragon Brigade
Your latest one is looking good. =). I like the stock you used, but it almost blends in too much with everything else...What I mean is, I look at it, but originally I didn’t realize he was in some kneeling position, but rather it looked sort of...unclear? Then again, I always have problems telling apart the stock from the background, for some reason (I always comment on it too. =p). Looking at it now, it’s perfect, but for some reason when I take a first glance at some of your sigs, I always question what the stock is, or what his/her position is. I have no idea if it’s something you need to fix with what you’re doing, or if I’m just having my own personal difficulties, but I figure I’ll throw it out there, haha.

Looking good as usual though, keep it up. =).
LagunaWannabe
And anotherr: This is a style I've used once with an Aerith sig that I really liked, so I kinda recycled it for Yuna

And the Dreams fieldpiece:

And a new Riku piece:

Same here. I had to stare at it really hard to find out if there is a person and if there is one, where is the head and where does everything else go.

I like. <3 I seldom like your pieces, but this one I really do like it. There are still things that don't sit right with me but it's a personal thing, so it's alright. I wouldn't mind using this as my sig, and you know how picky I am with what I use. wink.gif
LagunaWannabe
Wowww thanks!! Well what exactly doesn't sit well with you? I'll make a revised version that'll make you orgasm.
LagunaWannabe
Update: A new sig, Im gonna start making some again soon:

Dragon Brigade
The character’s position almost looks a little too awkward in the sig, because if you’d kept the rest of it you can tell that he’d almost be in a vertical line instead of just having his neck craned over slightly, to give the same effect as in the sig. That’s the only thing that really bothers me about this one. It’s somewhat awkward to look him without noticing too much, in the sense that it takes away from the overall feel of the sig because the guy’s in an unnatural position. Might just be me though.

Anyway, I really like the style you’ve used. Doesn’t seem like your previous ones, but whatever you did, it looks nice. Looking forward to seeing more. =).
LagunaWannabe
Yeahh I see what you mean now while looking back. I just liked the rotate tool lately because of the "abstract" feel it gives sometimes. but yeah, here's another I was playing around with: (Lust from FMA)

And I need help deciding which looks best:

I originally wanted a sunset-like contrasting color, but then I threw this white background in and it looked gorgeous, so now i can't tell. Thanks!
Dragon Brigade
I honestly think the second one looks best from the Inverse set. The third one is a close second though. I like the darker color scheme to it, but in the end the second one stands out most to me because it has more happening in the background and just...I dunno. Seems to have more to it (though it’s essentially the same as the third). As for the first, I’m not as fond of it because it’s somewhat emptier than the others.

Looking good though. It’s a hard call for me to decide between the second and the third (like both ways of design), but I’d say the second looks best. If I were to use one as a sig though, I’d probably go with the third one regardless, just because I like the color combo and how you fit all that in there.

Keep up the good work. =).

And I need help deciding which looks best:

The right side takes all of my attention because it really stands out. The darker part of the background kind of "ruins" it. Other than that, I like this piece a lot. I don't know what to suggest to solve the problem that I personally see with them, but it's not that big of a deal anyway.

Holy shiat. You put my thoughts into words and did it hundred times better than I can. o.o That's like... exactly the same thing that I was thinking when I was staring at those three siggies! O.o

Another wonderful piece. Except that the color looks the same throughout. If you can somehow lighten the red covering her or something, to further focus the attention on her, then it may look even nicer. I cannot guarantee it though. I would try it myself, except I'm not at home.

I LOVE the place you placed her name. Very nice.
Wakka
The middle one wit tidus and that its perfect i think not to mch going on looks nice. The one with the guy that looks like tidus zack or wateva is really nice to i like the position i think it makes it look good he is really mooved but he still fits in there nice
LagunaWannabe
Thank you everyone for the feedback so far. Here's a new Persona one that I did:

Dragon Brigade
It's put together nicely. The only downfall I can see is that I find myself staring at that orange background you made because it's so...deep, if you know what I mean. I end up forgetting the rest of the sig just because the center part is interesting (I may just be weird like that though, haha).

I don't think I'd change anything in the sig though. It's really good in my opinion. =).
LagunaWannabe
Another new one. Trying to go for that faded, old, grungy look. I failed. But I gotta keep at it. Lin/Greed from the Full Metal Alchemist Manga. Guy reminds me of the Cheshire Cat, it's creepy.

Dragon Brigade
Looks fine to me. Especially the face you have blended in with the background, that works very well. I dunno. I like it. Not really that grungy look you went for, but as a sig I like it.

Keep it up. =).
LagunaWannabe
And another new sig. I've condensed the new ones into this post for everybody since my submissions have been rather scattered lately:

Kingdom Hearts:

FMA Greed:

Remember You Are Mortal:

Inverse 1 and 2:

LagunaWannabe
And a failed attempt at that 2D Grunge look with Kenshin:

Koala
Since most of them are well done =p I'll nit pick all I can lol.

Scattered Dreams : I do like the dreamy angelic text effect. The character are well blended, but this is what I realised (my past works too have this problem) when we try to achieve this bright dreamy effect, on BLACK background it would glow very brightly which somehow don't really appeal to the eyes as much. and on WHITE background it becomes ULTRA bright which makes things worst. So yeah do take note on that problem. But your's was just slightly brighter but its still good =)

Greed : Not a fan of it at all ._. Sorry I don't find the text goes along with the background. I find the guy on the right, his face has a really weird looking grey patch. But its just me.

Memento Mori : Looks nice. I just hope that the horizontal Line could be slightly thinner. Maybe as thin as the one on the vertical line on the right. Looks good though =)

Inverse : I love the text =) Just that the stock on the right clearly could see a thin line of white on the shoulders and arm. Could be blended even better. As compared to the kenshin one, Kenshin's is better and perfectly blended smoothly.

Kenshin : Very well blended. Though. I would suggest you erase off the overlay edges of the bottom "photo" on the right if you want to make a "Photos stacking up" effect" The kenshin is really well blended. Nice job.

Overall : Way better and improved. Just that. I think you should step out of your comfort zone and start to explore things which are more... Brave. Don't restrict yourself to just a rectangle seriously =p And also =p Time to Design the borders as a try or Try no border sigs next time =]

Well done ^^
Dragon Brigade
Wow. It doesn't look 2D at all, but I really like it regardless. Something bothers me about the pictures though. They look fine, but...I think it would look better if you made them look like one single entity, yet still noticeably separate. There's a yellow line from the guy with the red headband that shows through and cuts into the top of the woman's forehead. Personally I think maybe you could find a way for it to not show through. Also, maybe you could move the pictures over to the right a bit so that you can move the woman over to the left a tick. They might blend together better if the woman's hair can be "in sync" with the guy-on-the-right's hair, and then her bangs on the left (which, actually, would be her right) would be more "in line" with the hair/black background to the cropped image of the guy-with-the-headband.

The pictures I think are the main reason it doesn't look 2D. You have them layered on each other and the background so that they stand out and are more dimensional. I think if maybe you just kept the yellow border outlines that don't overlap any part of the other people's faces, that would get rid of the "layered" feel. I mean, you'd have to sort of rearrange the pictures more, but it might work...

Dunno if the above made any sense anyway, haha. =). I do like the sig though. Very attractive style. =).
LagunaWannabe
WEll thanks for the feedback, and I tried and tried to get that feeling to happen, but its just not working, so I said screw it, and created a Shinomori Aoshi sig from Kenshin anime anyways. Similar style as always, this one feels more, i dunno, intensified tho, i like it

Dragon Brigade
It’s sort of distracting that it’s hard to really make out the details of his face (you can sort of see his nose/mouth after you look at it for a bit, but upon first glance it just seems like a really bright patch of white/yellow), but I really like it. ^^
LagunaWannabe
Weird attempt at grungy 2D look:

LagunaWannabe
And finally decided to try an "out of border" sig. I'd love to hear your thoughts:

Dragon Brigade
Your last one is really cool. It almost seems as if he’s reaching out of the screen or something. Sort of 3D-ish, I guess you could say. I dunno. I don’t have too much else to say. Your previous sig looks good too.

Nice work, keep it up. =).
Koala
When you use "Image Size" Function to resize your image. Do take note to use a black brush the paint over the sides of the image again, because it will leave a thin white line across the image.

I do like the concept of your last piece. Though. The left and the bottom seem to be quite not nicely erased. I hope you don't get offended by what I said =x
LagunaWannabe
My newest piece. I've really liked the "out of border" sigs I've been doing lately (I'll have another sig I'm almost done with up as well with that style). but I've really been getting into that abstract feel, and I think it's a lot of fun to play around with. So here's my 2nd attempt at this style (the 1st attempt being my current sig):

Dragon Brigade
That's probably one of your best, in terms of artistic design and whatnot. I think this one worked out much better than your prior one in terms of getting an 'out of border' feel. You still have the main border to the right, but the sig itself seems much more as something that doesn't seem contained. If that even makes sense. >.o.

So yeah, I like your latest one very much. Good work Laguna, keep it up! =).
Koala
Good work there. But...

this is only my own opinion.

I think the Text could be done better.

Like adding a curve stroke on the text. Giving it a "Meteor fall" design or a "Galaxy sun spark" feel

Text can be darker in terms of colour. But its a great work Laguna. So yeah. Now I think Text is the thing which could be work on to give the signatures a right feel.

Usually I'll spend sometime alone on the text itself =p so yeah. I like siggys with text with the right feel =p

But yeah. keep up the good work =] I feel so nervous now >_< Since you are like a zillion time better then me so yeah. I think i'm gonna lose =p
LagunaWannabe
And my newest battle piece:

And to Koala: I think I WILL play around with the text more, that artistic line swoosh thing actually sounds pretty attractive. and I'm REALLY not that much better than you, it's just lately I've changed my sig style around a little bit. Just so happens that I've been lucky, really haha

EDIT: Here's the changes:

Original:

Modified:
Dragon Brigade
What you added around the Dream text looks good. I’d almost say you could get away with adding a little more to make it have more of that space feel, but then again it might get too distracting that way. It does look very good still though. =).
LagunaWannabe
Totally just messing around. Did this in 15 minutes, was bored:

Koala
The way your present the background is good.

Needs a border so that batman won't sink in with the forum background.

A Better Text. Eventhough I can read Way Serious. But it needs a better text. This text don't fit in the feeling. =\ Doesn't really gives the right feel.

But its good. Quite well done for something with experiment.
Dragon Brigade
The general idea of it is cool. Though, I agree that it needs a border or something. The text doesn't look too bad, though other than "Gray", I have no idea what it says (though from reading Koala's post, I can assume it says "Why So Serious?").

Really good idea for a sig, and as an experiment it's not bad at all. =).
Bloo
You do know that you are not suppose to reveal yourself untill the voting ended right? xD
Dragon Brigade
Well, I think everyone knows already whose is whose anyway...Either way, voting gets done tomorrow if I recall (think it was said five days for voting?).

But anyway. I really love both of them. =). Admittedly I like the first one a bit more. It's a bit plainer, but I just like it a bit more. I guess it's the pose or something. Dunno what else to say...

Good work on both of them though. =).
Lady Alora
I think you should try to find a happy medium between the second and third. I like the color in #3, but I like the lighting in #2.

edit:this was in regards to your 2nd to last post
Dragon Brigade
Amore e Morte: The guy sort of looks awkward to me. Mostly I think it's because his skin is red, and the rest of him blends in with the background. That's probably just me though. The rest of it is great, and I really love the text to the right.

Bullets in the Sunset: Nice. =). Very smooth. Don't have much else to say on it, it looks good to me.

Photo Strip: I think that's a very neat idea. You gave it a cool newspaper-ish look, which makes it more scrapbook-y. Looking good. =P.

Good work, as always. ^^
Dragon Brigade
You're really starting to master that style in my eyes. Nightmare: Code Red has to be one of my favorites from the newer ones (Dreams/Love and Firion). The design is really what gets me. Text is good too, though I almost didn't see it at first.

Good work on all of them though. =).
LagunaWannabe
(To DB, thank you for the feedback, I reposted this post though so it would be shown on the new page since the last one had 15 entries in it)

NEW PIECES!:

Sig Contest: Persona 4

Firion

Nightmare: Code Red

New Sig:

Shadow in the Night

Stranger in a Strange Land

Amore e Morte (NEW!)

Bullets in the Sunset (NEW!)

Photo Strip of myself (NEW!)
Koala
Do note, there is vague lines at the side of Dreams Love(your current sig). Do erase then away. or use a black brush to draw over them =)

Good work btw, just disappointed with your contest one =p
Chalryn
I really dig the Firion one, though I think it could use some better text. (Font face, I mean.) Not a big deal, though. Pretty sweet sig either way.

The Vincent one is pretty sweet as well. Personally, though, I think it'd look better if it were just the upper portion. (With some effect or other to make the cut-off not so abrupt, of course.) With the frame there, and the contrast between the framed portion and the bottom, I just think it would look much better if the framed part was focused on more. I'm also not one for tall sigs, but that's not really a major point here.

As said above, the Crisis Core one does indeed have some faint borders along the edges. It seems to mostly be just because of the spatter/glitter effects, but it also seems to extend a bit further than that. Just getting rid of those borders alone would be satisfactory, though I would take a closer look around the lower-left and upper-right as well, because the soft glow from those bits seems to abruptly end at the edges of the piece. It's not particularly noticeable, though, so not a huge deal.
That aside, simple, but nice piece.

Edge... From FF IV? In any case, looks spiffy. The slight angle is a nice touch.

The piece for Chad looks pretty nice. Again, I'm not a big fan of taller pieces, at least in the case of sigs, but otherwise, I like it. The title is... Italian? Spanish would be more fitting for a piece based on Chad, but that's just me being picky. ^^; I can't really describe how too well, but the pairing of the floral art with Chad somehow seems fitting. I like it.
KCshushu
Woah those sigs are awesome...I'm still stuckwithin the confines of the boring a x b sig sizes I generally love sigs that aren't place within a box (like mine *grumble grumble*) It's probably because I use my sigs in forums where the background colours are stupid dry.gif and not just black. But I have to say I am particularly drawn to the one of Chad/Sado, the text throws it off a bit though because it's hard to read even if you tilt your head slightly (thanks to the slope of the font) but seriously...I love it <3 Good job =3
LagunaWannabe
First and foremost:

1.Thank you ALL for the feedback, there's nothing I like more than to share my works with people!

Thank you I coudlnt see it on my computer, I've fixed it, I just need to re-upload it now

Yess the one from FF4 it's his DS form. I really wanted to almost angle it MORE to give him this kind of, surfing feel, like he was jumping roofs or something a ninja would do lol

Agreeed, YET, the tattoo on his arm says "Amore e Morte", hence the title hehe

5. FINALLY THE MOTHERLOAD. I was bored and decided to make up this piece:

Things I altered in it:

1. I actually made the wing that wraps around Angeal, hence it may not look professional. I basically cropped the wing from the official art and just made a BUNCH of layer masks, blurs, sharpenings, smudges, and whatnot to try to replicate the wing because there is in fact NO art for a wing that big at that angle (had to warp a ton too)

2. Removed Angeal holding the Buster Sword. I just flipped his image, took his non-sword arm, and replicated it to try to make it look like he was standing normally.

3. Put Tseng up there near Genesis, cropped them both out.

4. The Seph/Cloud/Zack image I actually colored myself from black and white.

Hence lots of work, may not look the best, but definitely a fun and worthwhile experiment

Thanks again!! I'd love some feedback for my new Compilation piece!
