A tall man wearing a pin striped suit, walked calmly down the dark street, humming a tune softly. He'd just settled a large deal and was gonna be a rich man. Unlocking to door to his middle class home, he threw his keys on the table in the entrance room. Then being in the mood to celebrate, he headed off towars the cellar to get the 100 year old wine which held considerable value, he'd been saving it for this day. As he moved through the kitchen towars the cellar door he didn't even notice that the seemingly common vase in which he held hid all his percious jewels was missing. In the dim light of the cellar moved along the wall the shelf he kept the most valuable wine. He stopped short into front of it, half the wine was missing, hurring up stairs he search around the house only to discover more missing objects. Rushing out side he screamed "Help!" and looked around despratly for a cop. A dark shadow watched from atop the buildings as a seemly mad man ran through the streets scream. Then moving backwards in the shadows of the buildings it seemed to disappear.
A large smile spread across Muse's face as she entered into the small little back room of one of the most prosperous bars of the city, called The Black Snake. The bar had a mix of people from every ethnic back ground, occupation, race, and relgion, there were gaurds and theives, shop keepers and bankers. With all the hussel and bussle up front and guards coming to and fro no one would expect that the small little back room was actaully the best place to sell any stolen goods. "I've got 15 bottles of 60 to 100 year old wine, a worthless vace full of jewels, and some pure silvers candle holders." She said keeping her face hidden by the large hood that was connected to her cloak. She set the bag of stolen good onto the counter, the man behind it mearly grunted and handed her the correct amount of money for her...findings. Exiting she began to make her way down the dark alley, the sound of druken singing spilled from the various that were littered throught this part of town. Emerging into the street she tightened her grip on her new bag of money and with the other hand pulled her hood down lower as not to be seen by those passing. Finally she escaped the crowds and now walked down a deserted street surrounded by buildings that had been left to rot when new ones were built, or shops and banks, but there was on inpraticular she was going to. The abandoned library, walking in she set the bag down on a table the contents spilling out, a single coin rolled out and across the table. Grabbing the latest books she'd finished she sat down infront of one of the many fireplaces. Ripping some pages out she started a fire, when it got going enough she threw the rest of the books on, then curling up in an elegant chair that sat infront of the fire, she picked up a new book about human behavior and began to read.

The fishing rod was twitching. The man pulled it and the fishing line snapped. Some curses and foul words accompanied the man when he took his belongings and left. The red and black clothed person that was hidden in one of the many trees by the lake sighed. "Nobody is catching any fish. That means there is nothing for me to eat." Ran jumped down and picked up his brown wooden staff and looked around. He thought about where people would be eating and where they would be easy targets. Ran hadn't eaten for days, so he wouldn't have the energy to fight. He started to walk back to the bars and the inns. That would be the best place to find some food since people would be drinking and pay no attention to a filthy boy that scurries around. The mere thought of having a warm meal made him happy. He picked up the pace and finally arrived. The place didn't matter as long as it didn't have too many people or those soldier that made Ran's life so unpleasant. He scanned the buildings and finally settled for a bar. He didn't see the name but that was of no importance to Ran. When Ran entered he had to leave his staff outside but his dagger was still hidden.
Ran saw a group of men drinking in the corner, soldiers in the back and other people that were of no interest. He looked at the men, which seemed to be members of a traveling entertainment group, and on the soldiers. The cigar smoke hanged heavy in the air. Ran tried to avoid eye contact with the soldiers, what if the recognized him? Would he have to fight or run? But it was too late. One of the soldiers who seemed like the others superior stood up and started to walk towards Ran. The red metal armor that he had on was covered in dirt. He had a hard look on his face and was starting to walk a bit faster. Ran turned around and started to walk out of the bar. The soldier yelled something but Ran didn't hear it over the traveling groups shouts and he didn't want to wait around to find out what it was. As soon as he had gone out the same way he had entered, Ran started to run. He didn't look back to see if they were after him or if they had given up.
As Ran ran in the streets he eventually stopped and calmed down. He looked around and realized that he was in a part of the town he didn't know so well. There were old buildings here, some with broken doors and windows, others with no doors at all. Ran walked down the streets and tried to find his way back when he saw a big building. This one was, or at least had been, more decorated and it had big wooden doors. Ran decided to go in there in his search for food. As he opened one of the big doors, he remembered that he left his staff back with the soldiers. "It's too late to go get it now. I would just get caught" Ran said to himself.
Ran entered the building and started to walk around. It was a big library that had been forgotten by the towns people. Ran keep on walking, admiring the big bookcases and the vast amount of books. It was times like these he wished he could read. But his state of admiration was cut short when he saw a flicker of light deep in the library.

The strange looking blind man walked down the empty street, following the vibrations of someones steps. He soon reached an area where they stoped. As he approached were he lost them, he stomped on the ground. His feet catching every virbration, and drawing out the entire area for about 40 feet in every direction. He found an open door, and walked in. As he entered, he could hear the distant crackle of a flame.
