I know there was a thread a little while ago about a personality test that told you "Which FF character you are" that was clearly flawed.... But now as a more opinion type of thing, if you could be any Final Fantasy character, who would you want to be?


Personally, I'd love to be Squall. Here's why.

At the end of the game, Squall has come to a sort of "epiphany" where he realizes he needs others. He had gone through a lot of nihilistic and depressing thoughts throughout the game, so in the end to see him smirking at Rinoa and finding comfort in being with others, I'd love to have that sort of content with my life. If you were to imagine the future of FF8 as it is now, there's really nothing left unsolved or any enemy that is a threat. Squall had become a hero and the Headmaster of Balamb Garden, and I'm sure would reunite with Laguna in ways we hadn't seen in game, not to mention the fulfilling life he'd have with Rinoa. Seems to be almost the perfect life to live.

I'd also love to be Zack Fair. I know, he's dead. But after playing Crisis Core I have a newfound respect for him as a character, and he's probably my FAVORITE main character in any FF game. He was like Sora except WAYY more complete. Sora is more, i dunno, "naive" than Zack is, or at least acts more childish. But Zack had this idea of honor and friendship that I know I could never emulate.

When I think about myself constantly risking my life for something that I may not agree with, I don't think I'd be able to do it. And I don't think I'd have the courage or guts to put my neck on the line for Cloud as much as Zack did. He had this positive outlook on everything and seemed so carefree and good natured, I wish I could be more like that in my own life.

Odd as it may seem, of the Final Fantasy’s I’ve played (not many though), none of the characters are people I’d want to be. Not many of them really jump out at me, in the story or otherwise. I dunno. There are other games where if you asked this question, I’d have an answer, but for Final Fantasy...There just really aren’t any for me, from what I’ve played. >.o.

Vincent or Balthier.. enjoy both of those characters.

Kuraudo, because I like big swords. And no, this doesn't contain any hidden meaning. There are other reasons sure, but I don't feel like explaining.

Yuna? lol. I think that counts...

For me, I think it would be Setzer. Flying an airship at tremendous speeds, gambling all the time and being suave with the ladies would all be great qualities to have. Plus, he really doesn't have any life or death struggle. He is just himself and gets pulled into the adventure. He's not my favorite character, but he is also the most realistic choice that I would make.

Out of all Final Fantasy characters, I would be Auron. His intentions to vanquish Sin from Spira were quite uplifting.
In my opinion, he held the fate of Spira in his hands. He was the quiet yet legendary warrior.

Auron would be kinda nice. I liked the role he played in the game, he was quite the honorable type of guy. He tried to strike down Yunalesca after the business with Sin, and afterwards committed himself to watching over Yuna and Tidus, he never broke his promises, and I like that.

I'm actually not sure about that one being that I haven't been able to play many Final Fantasy games. I guess I'd choose Garnet because I do know about her(i beat FF9). She awesomely summons and can heal herself.

Pshh, easy answer, Orlandu, over powered abilities/equipment FTW!

I'd be Cid from FFVII (minus the smoking part). He's witty, sweet with computers and such, and carries around a BIG STICK!!! haha

I would be Zack,Cloud,or Vincent because they all are good and have awesome abilities.

I would be Zell or Wakka.

Both are super cool dudes chill and content with what they have. But they both have alot to learn. I feel that after the games ends these characters still have alot of growing to do.

But

I also feel that these characters will never grow up always looking for the next biggest and best thing. It would be a blast. And on top of that they are both studs. Good at what they do and they do it carelessly at that.

Also maybe Balthier he was way badass. Smooth ladies man, good with his gun and had a sweet ride. A need for speed that superceeds and an attitude that entices and entrigues.

Tidus too. Kinda the same there.

I think I'd like to be Yuffie. We have a few things in common. Telling anyone what those things are is out of the question though.

Experience since she was a child and trains in the underworld. That and a plethora of beasts under her command. That's more than reason enough that I would want to be her over anyone else.

From the old ones (1-6) - Sabin. He was just SO KICK ASS!

From the newer ones (7-12) - Wow... that's a toughy... But I would probably have to go with Seifer.

My favourite character is Tifa... But I wouldn't necessarily want to be her.

I would want to be Rinoa though, just because of the epic romance in her adventure. What can I say? I'm a sucker for love <3

Somehow an overweight pimp who forces himself on ze ladies and then ends up killed doesn't appeal to me... But I can agree with that Reno statement, totally loved him in Advent Children

If I had to choose I'd love to be Zidane. I love his personality and he's one of the best FF characters in my opinion. He's kinda like me anyways, a joker yet soft at heart. Definitely not as flirtatious as him though. lol.

I'd want to be Fran or Lulu.

They're both badasses that have this incredible femme fatale appeal to them.

Anyway, I think Reno is pretty cool, but ultimately he falls short in battle >.< still...

Cid (FFIV) is another choice... I mean with such an awesome beard who WOULDN'T want to be him. Plus you find me another FF character with as much balls as Cid (He throws himself down a hole attached to a bomb without any self-sacrificing speech crap like all the other characters... he just does it... what a guy). That my friend, is THE ultimate Cid.

I think, for the males, I would like to be Zell.
As stated by another, he's so perky and hyper, and just really happy with life and such.
He just seems like the kind of guy that can cheer anyone up and make people smile, and I like to think that I do that a lot.

For the women, I guess...
Either Rinoa or Celes.
Rinoa because I, like her, can be persistant and annoying at times. But I'm also passionate and determined and hard-headed like her.
Celes because she's a very strong woman, but at the same time, she knows that she needs others to survive. I think I'm independent, but I know that without others, I would be nothing.

well ive only really played 7 - 10-2. lol 11 doesnt really have any "characters" per say. anyway i would say i would want to be cloud or tidus. cloud because he's just badass and in ffvii ac he relizes that he does have the power to save people he cares about and not to wallow in self pity. tidus welll he's just awesome. lol and he killed sin. come on who else could do that?

Zell or Sabin, pretty much because their attitude is the same as mine. I would have to say that I'm pretty laid-back like Balthier/Irvine though, so I wouldn't mind them too.

I wouldn't mind being Steiner. Sure he's naive, but he stands up for what he believes in - just like me. Plus he's pretty powerful, and even gets Beatrix to fall in love with him. Heh, going out with her would be great. I also wouldn't mind being Gilgamesh! He's pretty cool too in his own weird way.

I would like to be Vincent, Cloud, Sephiroth, Zack, Vaan, Balthier, Basch, Vossler, and Reks.

I think I'd like to be either Rinoa or Tifa, I just love their badass attitudes, mixed with alittle cuteness at the same time ofc who could resist Squall or Cloud?
