I am curious has anyone ever heard of him? My English teacher and my boyfriend both knew of him obviously before I did and I want to know more poems by him. So far I have read: Chimney Sweepers, The Divine Image, The Human Abstract, London, Garden of Love, The Infant Sorrow, and there are more but I cannot remember.

So has anyone else even heard of him if so tell me your favorite poem and what does it say to you.

If you haven't look him up, they are actually pretty cool.

His name sort of rings a bell to me, but I can't recall any of his works by the titles.

I am very familiar with William Blake and would have to say that his poetry does nothing for me sadly.

If though it was life or death sentence to pay should I not answer your question I would say that my favorite piece by Mr. Blake is "America, A Prophecy."

Poetry is amazing though it speaks is so many diffrent ways. One man's writing could affect 1000 people in 100,000 diffrent ways, all posative, and negative, nuetral, and biased.

I am sorry that I am not a big fan, his writing is just not my cup of tea.
Shakespeare though, is a tune of a diffrent flute. : P

I'm more to his paintings, even if he wasn't the greatest painter, than his poetry. But if you want to read more poems, try http://www.sanjeev.net/poetry/blake-william/index.html and to know more about him, try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Blake . But if you like Blake, try read John Milton. His poetry is in my opinion better. Or John Keats, wich you can read at www.john-keats.com
