Dragon Brigade
Another Bond movie. The only one I’ve seen is Casino Royale, and personally I enjoyed it. This one is set for a November 7 release here in the US.

Movie synopsis:

QUOTE
Quantum of Solace continues the high octane adventures of James Bond (Daniel Craig) in CASINO ROYALE. Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M (Judi Dench) interrogate Mr White (Jesper Christensen) who reveals the organization which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined. Forensic intelligence links an Mi6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille (Olga Kurylenko), a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organization. On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world's most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano (Joaquin Cosio). Using his associates in the organization, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land. In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene's sinister plan and stop his organization.

Any thoughts?

I hate the name, but I am looking forward to another Daniel Craig Bond movie. I thought Casino Royale did a great job of sparking interest into what was becoming a really stale franchise.

Indeed, I have been looking forward to the next James Bond since the end of the last one.

Although being the first blonde James Bond, Daniel Craig did feel like James Bond and he pulled the character off quite well. Not as good as Shaun Connerry, and Pierce Brosnan but he did do well. He still has a few more films to make the character even better., though.

Personally I thought Craig was every bit as good as Connery and definitely better than Brosnan and I liked Brosnan in the role - although I only rate Goldeneye and The World Is Not Enough as decent Bond films. Craig played the Bond character with the intensity he's supposed to have like the character from the books.

Although Craig was definitely fairer than Roger Moore. Moore definitely had mousey coloured hair so he wasn't quite the first Bond with fair hair ie not black.

Funnily enough apart from Roger Moore, Daniel Craig is the only other Englishman to play James Bond(that piss take with David Niven doesn't count), the others were Scottish(Sean Connery), Australian (George Lazenby), Welsh(Timothy Dalton) and Irish(Pierce Brosnan).

As for Quantum Of Solace, alongside The Dark Knight this will probably be the only film I see at the cinema this year (not out of choice I want to see more), I absolutely can't wait.

As with all the other Bond movies, Ill see this one for sure. Casino Royale was great for me so hopefully this up's the bar!

Another release date shift, but this time it's not as drastic.

James Bond Coming Later
Release date shift for Quantum of Solace.
by IGN Staff

August 21, 2008 - Columbia Pictures and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, announced today that it will release Quantum of Solace on November 14th in North America. The strategic move places the highly-anticipated James Bond adventure one week closer to the prime movie-going holiday window and takes advantage of last week's decision to move the release date of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

"We saw the film recently in London and Marc Forster, Daniel Craig and the entire team at EON have truly delivered another extraordinary Bond adventure," said Jeff Blake, Chairman of Worldwide Marketing and Distribution for the Columbia Tristar Motion Picture Group. "Quantum of Solace is a seamless continuation of the storyline that began with the last film. We believe November 14th is a great date that allows us to play straight through Thanksgiving and right into Christmas. The Bond films have a long history of entertaining audiences in this holiday corridor going back to Goldeneye in 1995. The studio enjoyed tremendous success opening Casino Royale in North America on November 17, 2006, and we believe this decision will give the public a wider opportunity to see the film over the holiday."

Daniel Craig reprises his role as Ian Fleming's James Bond 007 in Quantum of Solace, the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures/Columbia Pictures release of EON Productions' 22nd adventure in the longest-running film franchise in motion picture history. The film is produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli and directed by Marc Forster. The screenplay was written by Paul Haggis and Neal Purvis & Robert Wade.

Trailer

Prince William and Prince Harry will attend the world premiere of the 22nd 007 adventure on Wednesday, October 29th 2008 in London. The film will begin its worldwide roll out on October 31.

I saw a trailer of it when I went to see The Dark Knight (I think?), and it looks pretty good.

@DB: I saw the trailer when I went and saw Dark Knight too. You're right.

I think this will be another great FRESH Bond. I mean, Goldeneye is classic, but all other bond's after that were just stale as long as Pierce Broson was Bond... never even saw the other ones in their entirety... me thinks...

I loved Casino Royale, and hope to see another great movie whenever it comes out.

TO THE RIGHT, TO THE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!
