Castlevania mastermind Koji Igarashi has been a well-publicized critic of the Wii, but it seems he's had a change of heart recently. The comic book distribution magazine Previews reveals (via Kotaku) that a new Castlevania game is indeed in the works for Nintendo's waggler.
As part of a report on the PR campaign for a new comic based on Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, Previews stated that the comic would be "cross-promoted with 2008 video game releases, which include games for Nintendo Wii and DS (Fall 2008)." We already know all about Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, which is set for release on the DS this fall, but this would seem to be the first strong hint that Konami has a new Castlevania set for release on Wii this fall as well.
Of course, this is still unconfirmed by Konami itself, so consider it just a rumor for now. We'll update when we hear more.
