This movie is getting a limited theatrical release in the US tomorrow - a pretty epic (and relatively high budget) looking Kazakhstani film directed by Segei Bodrov. I don't know a lot of the guy's work even though I lived like most of my life in an ex soviet state, but I do know that The Quickie was disappointingly boring. However, the trailer for this looks fascinating and can be found here. Film's about Genghis Khan's conquest of Asia.

Looks interesting, I'd check it out if it played in the local theater, which I doubt it will, so I'll probably have to rent it in the future.

Any thoughts?

Everything about this film looks awesome and it's getting great reviews. I definitely want to see it although I may have to wait until a DVD or Blu-Ray release. The film is according to historians very historically accurate too. It's nice to a film that will actually do the story of Genghis Khan justice.
