I haven't seen anybody post up a topic about this yet, so that's why I'm doing it.
I'm wondering if anybody here has this game, I have it, the story so far is ok, but when you fight the enemies, it get a whole lot better. It says that it can go online multi, but I don't know how that would work. So the main reason I made this topic is to see what you guys think of this game. I'd rate it about 8/10 so far.

Shroom actually started a topic for this a while back, but it has since fallen into obscurity. I've heard mixed reviews on it (some say it's good, some say it had potential but flopped), but I'm still interested in it. Unfortunately, I don't have a PS3. Actually, I think I recall reading somewhere that they were going to make a second one. Might have been an entirely different game though, I can't remember anymore.

Oh, it is? I kept thinking it was just for the PS3. Well, I don’t have a 360 either, so I guess either way I still can’t play it, haha. =).

i have it. over all, it's a decent game that couldn't hold it's potential. one of which was the friggin' blackmarket.
take heed Apple, buy yourself a AK47 and a shotgun. that's all you'll need- because the other weapons will chew through your limited ammo [and you won't find the cash to buy everything]. hell, the final chapter- i had an Uzi and a Carbine with no ammo and thus had to rely on my Meta-skills and glaive.
as i said, decent game- a rental at most, then once the price drops to the bargain bin.
One more thing:
>>The final two bosses rely more on Glaive skills than actual weaponry. A Carbine rifle is recommended against the final boss though.<<
if you've any questions, i may be able to help.

Haha, I did indeed talk about this alot earlier this year, and unfortunately when the game finally came out (after being delayed the day before it was due out >_<) I had ran out of $ and thus no purchase was made. However, since its dropped to bargain price my girlfriend kindly bought me it today, and I found the time to run through the prologue, and I really like it so far. I can see the comparisons to gears (a game I didn't like at all) and a darker uncharted (a game I freakin love), but I'll need to play more to get more of a feel for whether its a really decent game or not. I know Sigs had reservations, so fingers crossed.
edit: the deaths are freaking AWESOME though.

Yeah, you lucked out, Mushy. the game was not worth the initial $60 price tag when it came out [i did get a hat because i preordered it. never wear it though], but for $20 the game is worth it.
while you explore, keep an eye out for breifcases. they hold weapon upgrades... which most are almost useless. i don't even know if the "increased firepower" upgrade does.
pretty much, equip your weapons with the acid mod and increased accuracy, and you'd be fine.
i still say the game could have been a whole lot better.

^^ Haha, yea, I spent the day marathoning through R&C, but sicne I'm holdin guot for the physical release of quest for booty, DS seems to have my full attention now. I'm glad you think its worth the price tag I got it for though. Obviously it wasn't up to par with the full price tag, but I think I'm willing enough to give it a bit of slack and your recomendation should be enough for me to find something redeeming from it, even if its just a few hours of fun.
In answer to DB's comment earlier btw, the developers did speak of really wanting to do a sequel, but I'm not sure critical reception or sales will support that. However, it sou7nds like there's a decent game there to improve on, so with some resolve who knows.

Well, I finally polished this game off today, and it was a pretty good play. Short-coming first: The story turned out piss poor. It starts off full of potential and interesting to flatout nowhere by the third chapter and thats really it for the rest of the game. I was on a boat at one point and I literally have no idea why. Secondly, there was just a stupidly short supply of money and sometimes bullets for some of the guns. In a game where you can't carry over your guns to the next file, it was simply annoying it took so long to get just a few of them and the games done.
However, outside of that I felt it was a very solid fun play and especially for the price its going at, I'd really recomend it to all for a distraction, or a rental or w/e. The weapons I could afford handled very well, my favourite being the sawn off one handed shotgun, modded with acid shots and increased damage. Cover almost always worked smoothly, the environments were a little samey but farily fun to transverse, if not a little vague on what to do/where to go at times, all in all a solid if not spectacular 3rd person shooter. That is, missing out the BEST thing about the game; the glaive. The glaive literally makes the game, and could have made it a fantastic game with some work in other areas. The aftertouch is sadistically accurate, the elemental power-ups are awesome when you can explode them, plus the other moves you get from, the infection, stealth, shield etc., all really good stuff to set this apart from gears and uncharted (which to be fair are very different from each other) and other third person cover and fire shooters.
I think with a strong story this game would have been loved by many because it has enough endearing gameplay mechanics to overlook the annoying shortcoming (even some of the best games have them), but the absolute voidlessness of story and therefore pointlessness of just carrying on for the sake of horrifying your next opponent even gets a bit boring at times (hence my time taken to finish it).
Also there were too many tunnel areas XD
Really though, the game wasn't worthit when it first came out, but for the cheap price of £15, or your dollar equivalent, I recomend you guys pick it up at least to have some fun with the glaive.
