If anyone's familiar with the TV show from the sixties, go out and see the movie now. Steve Carrel, though sticking to his usual self since, say, forty year old virgin, really delivers as Maxwell Smart. Although the mood of the show is only vaguely depicted in the beginning of the movie where Max is no agent, and Agent 99 is a stone cold bitch (who is rather hot), it gets much better near the end, even though the beginning isn't bad. The Max and 99 romance is a bit too fast to start, though I guess it was in the show too.

Those who are unfamiliar with the show, Get Smart was a tv series during the sixties the set out to parody many of the quirks presented in secret/super agent movies, and shows, like James Bond, etc. It featured Agent 68, Maxwell Smart, and Agent 99 along with a slew of others (the constantly in disguise Agent 13 has a brief cameo in the movie, also Hymie the robot) under employment of CONTROL to stop the evil KAOS organization. The interesting thing about some of the show's gadgets like the dome of silence (the cone of silence in the movie) and the shoe phone were actually in use by CIA at the time, and the show's creators were actually question on how they came about to have knowledge of their existence.

The movie's funny, the movie's full of action, and it's overall really fun, moreso if you were a fan of the show, like I was, but still fun on its own (nobody but me and another friend in a group of six people saw the show prior, and everyone enjoyed it).

Overall, 10/10. Go see it now.

I am retarded?

I liked the original show, and this was a great tribute to it.
The Evil Dead
I guess.

It just doesn't surprise me anymore that we keep seeing Hollywood do what they're doing these days.

Lelouch vi Britannia orders you not to see this. *hand gesture*

Did you, perhaps, see it?

Actually this movie looks like good silly and stupid fun and Anne Hathaway looks retarded hot. Might go see it tomorrow, if I got the feeling after stopping by the office to work on a due diligence we have to present by tuesday.

I have been actually rather surprised of the positive response this movie has been getting. Thanks to the diaster that was "Evan Almighty", I figured the bad publicity of Steve Carrell and it being another remake would have buried it. But, everybody is saying that it is a great tribute and it looks rather interesting.

Plus, I love Anne Hathaway. She is absoultely stunning and the sweetest girl ever.

You can totally see her tits on Havoc

I have this odd need to gather a bunch of Princess Diaries fans and make them watch Havoc.

I know, I know, I am going to hell.
The Evil Dead
Actually that sounds like a badass idea.

I hate sites that dont let you hot link to their images, ##### fags.

And yes TED, It would be awesome to see a bunch of little girls who are total fans of Princess Mia watching Havoc.

Then again, this generation are growing up watching Miley Cyrus and a bunch of big head slut dolls called Bratz drinking everyday by the pool. Lost generation i say.

I haven't seen it yet. Steve Carrell's a funny guy though. I think he's goofy like Will Ferrell, but with a sweeter quality that isn't ... ##### oafish. He looks the part, and I think he could pull it off. This movie might work in a psuedo-'Mr. Bean' kinda way, if they don't take the script too seriously.
Bloo
I heard that the rock is in the movie isn't it? Lol... Seriously The Rock?
Dr Whippy
First impressions of trailers Steve Carell is nailing the voice which is awesome, and the tiny bits i've seen are funny. 99 was always nice-ish I thought, her being stone cold biatch is not something I picked. Anyway - first impressions, possibly over advertised mediocre movie with potential for goodness, will let you know what I think when I see it.
