Apologies for my horrid question. But, I have been curious about the .hack franchise for a long time, however I've been a little intimidated by its mass of games. Now, I've had the same curiosity with Suikoden but...that's really expensive. So I guess I'm asking what would be a good place to start, because I feel pretty swamped.

As I said, I've been interested for a long time, but also I haven't seen or heard that many reviews on the games being all that great. Usually its reviews are a little average or lackluster. Granted, this might not be the place to ask 'Is it worth it' or 'Are they really that bad'. But hey, thought I could ask anyway. I know I'd probably rant and rave if someone asked a similar thing in the Xeno section hehe. I've heard Infection is a good place to start. Apparently its the original. Unless people here say something different, I was thinking of checking it out, seeing how expensive it is on Amazon.

So any tips or opinions would be great. Thanks.
