QUOTE (IMDb)
"Wanted" tells the tale of one apathetic nobody's transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice. In 2008, we're introduced to a hero for a new generation: 25 year old employed slacker, WESLEY GIBSON. Wes is the most disaffected, cube-dwelling, clock-punching drone this planet has ever known. His boss chews him out hourly, his girlfriend ignores him routinely, and his life plods on in interminable boredom and routine. Everyone knows this disengaged slacker will amount to absolutely nothing, and so does he, until he meets the sexy, foxy woman named FOX, and then everything changes.

=====================

H'okay...

When I first saw the trailer, I was thinking... yeh, it looks like a nice Matrix-type film, why not catch it. So I saw it with my friends yesterday and I loved it ;P.

I have to say that it really isn't much of a Matrix clone and the only association of it would be the special effects and the character works in the cubicle. Apart from those details, this film reminds me of Fight Club rather than the Matrix. James McAvoy really does choose his movies well these days since I thought it he was awesome in this and a big step up from when he played Robbie in Atonement. His character in "WANTED" is way more funnier and entertaining than Neo from the Matrix and his narrating of the movie adds good comedy that the Matrix never had. The plot twist at towards the end of the movie is what reminds me of the movie Fight Club and as well as the dirty/bloody fighting ;P. What I'm happy about is that the trailer actually doesn't reveal the whole story which most trailers do these days...

So, for those who liked The Matrix and Fight Club movies, I really do recommend you catch this. ;]
The Evil Dead
I want you to curve the bullet.

I thought it looked retarded, though fun in its retarded sort of way, but still retarded. I'd save it for a rent, but I do have a lot of money recently, and my friends wanted to see this, so I'll probably end up tagging along.

cant say i have too much interest in this movie.. mabye a rental at best if even that.
kik_the_forgotton
I'am going to go see it but I really wish that they had stayed closer to the comic I mean come on I really wanted to see (wanted) done the way mark miller wrote it.
The Evil Dead
You don't want to see James McAvoy shoot the wings off a fly as instructed by Morgan Freeman?

I saw the trailer for this on the TV this morning actually. It does look good, but I will wait until it comes out on DVD. Morgan Freeman seems to be in everything these days.

I saw this movie today. Great movie. I really enjoyed it. It is worth seeing it in the movie theaters. Good story, effects, action, and actors. I think this was one of the best Angelina Jolie movies I ever seen from her.

I saw this, and it was great, much better than suspected.

One thing I noticed was the main character of Night Watch/Day Watch movies was cast for a rather minor role, and somehow, many of the car chases were reminiscent of the stuff they did in Day Watch. Then I realized Timur Babmeblahblah was the director of those movies, which would explain the gratuitous of slow-mo and ridiculous car chases - he's very prone to that #####. But now it has a budget - yay!

Anyway, the movie was kickass in a brutal fashion. So many people die. The final shootout scene, though, is straight up taken from Equilibrium (you'll notice it if you saw both movies) and a part in it is very, very Star Wars. Also, Morgan Freeman was very Samuel Jackson.

"BLAHBLAHBLAHBLAH, or you can shoot THIS mothafucka!"

Anyway, this movie is worth time.

I liked this movie alot, it was very enjoyable and had good action.

One thing that got me though was that...(spoiler)

They just had to pull a star-wars and say "I am your father" like it was just....irrittating lol
