Okay so I was playing online, and the system froze on me like it would do at times with the original Rainbow Six Vegas, so I decided to restart the system, and now it won't read the discs. Is there something I can do to fix this?

My guess is that it's a dirty lens. Try a can of air in the BR slot. I use a can of air on my PC's and consoles every month or so to keep it clean.
Sounds like it just doesn't want to read it... Also they do have a warranty for a year so you should be OK. Sucks if it broke on ya.

The laser reader died on me, problem it got fried because my folks abused it through overheating and unproper maintenance (not being dusted, kept in a confined area, etc). So I'm gonna have to ship it back to the company. I hope that I can still keep the HDD from my old one when they replace it. I'll give an update in a couple of weeks on what Sony did. I sure hope I get it back before summer is over, or else I'll never hit prestige 10 before the end of summer.

Maybe you could request that they backup all your save files in case they need to reformat the harddrive. But I'm not sure if that's possible.
