Hello!
I cannot for the life of me recall the name of this SNES game I briefly played ages ago. I am pretty sure it was an RPG but my memory of this one seems to be a bit fuzzy, especially since my friends and I didn't play far into it for some reason. It was pretty decent if I recall so I'm aiming to play it through again, and none of us can remember what it was.
Heh I actually spent an hour looking through an RPG list on Wikipedia and none of them seemed to match what I am remembering.. although there were some possible matches, notably Robotrek; as its description was sorta similar to the plot I recall. But the screenshots I could find don't seem to fit at all.
Here's a description best to my ability:
The main characters are kids living in a rural area (i think; there were lots of greens and browns). They either, discover a robot/mech or one of them builds one, and they decide to take it to this dilapidated battle arena place to have it fight for money/prize. I have a feeling they win.
I am not sure if the people who lose kidnap one of the kids or something, but you end up having to goto this factory or city or somewhere to retrieve someone or some thing that was taken. The map of this part feels like theres fire from industry or a foundry or something all over the place. The ground is still dirt until you go inside the buildings, and theres like an ember glow all around.
I don't remember anything after this unfortunately. Yeh, not very helpful I know :\ I think there was a world map, but I am not sure.. inside towns areas it was top down, and then battles were the classic rpg style. The graphics were decent too I think. Like Final Fantasy Six or Chrono Trigger. I have no idea who the publisher or anything is either or if it was an original or sequel.
