I brought forward the suggestion of splitting up a few topics into separate manga and anime topics, and the feedback seemed positive so far for it happening. So, this is pretty much just a topic for requesting certain topics being split up. If they're big and warrant enough activity for both, then a mod will close down the main one and make two new ones.

This is just mainly for the big ones though, so don't bother with the small ones that aren't even active.

Post your requests and we'll fix'em up.

I imagine Bleach and Naruto are obvious ones, though I'm not sure any others specifically warrant a split. Maybe Code Geass? Bleach and Naruto are the two with the most activity, and they seem to have manga topics brought up in them more than others.

If I understand you correctly, then splitting up Naruto and Bleach into Anime and Manga topics might be good. However, the big problem would be that it's an endless task to sort out all the manga related posts and split them into a new topic.

I like to talk about Code Geass. But it doesn't seem like a lot of people are talking about it, so it's hard to get motivated. I don't think it needs to be split up given it's activity right now.

Bleach and Naruto seem like the only ones that call for a split, really. Any other series seem to just get small topics, whether they're about the anime or manga.

It's a simple closing of the original topic instead of seeding out the posts. If there are unresolved discussions, people can just look in the old topic and continue it in the new one.

That's pretty simple, yes..
Preferably the Shippuuden topic would be split in two rather than closed and two new ones made. But as I've said, that's a very tedious task. Not one I'd like to undertake at the moment. I don't think I like the idea of two new topics from scratch though.
I think the Naruto anime discussion could continue in the Shippuuden topic rather than creating a new one. Either way, I prefer it to stay one way or another, because some times you might want to search for a certain post you've made for discussion reference. And a locked topic will eventually be hard to find.

Question. What possitive fedback is this you speek of exactly? And how was the suggestion presented? I think I'm out of the loop here.

I guess I misunderstood what was meant there, but alright, removed the Anime discussion one. Just rename the thread and make some post implying that the discussion is anime only now and we should be fine.

A properly split topic is a better idea. But if that's going to be done, it needs planning first. (The main problem is that there is no "split posts" function)

I was wondering where are the respective non-spoiler and spoiler versions of each topic? Shouldn't we have like a Spoiler Naruto manga topic and Non-spoiler Naruto manga and the same can be said for the anime topics as well?

That would require 4 topics. 2 for spoiler and spoiler free Naruto discussion for the manga. 2 for spoiler and spoiler free Naruto discussion for the anime. I'm not going to letthat to happen. This forum isn't that active to need four topics on the same subject. It's not even active enough to require two topics for anime and manga separately.

Anyway, I'm in the process of splitting anime and manga posts from the Naruto topic. There will be a topic for manga and anime. What I don't understand is Naruto discussions will be split up in two separate topics under this setup.

Obviously, it's not perfect since many posts discussed the anime and manga and posts themselves can't be split. But, most posts dealing with the Naruto Anime are in the Naruto Anime topic and most posts dealing with the Naruto Manga are in the Naruto Manga topic.

I'm not sure I understand. What is a non spoiler in the anime topic, for example? How many episodes back does it have to go to count as a non spoiler? Or do you mean a separate topic that deals also with all 300 episodes, but where nothing of importance is mentioned, dating back to the very first episode?
