ok so i have been talking with Seluna, and thought i would throw this out here. We just finished the dreamers fieldpiece, it looks great and it was fun making, so who all here is up for more group projects? I love seeing what we can all make and how it ends up, i am very pumped to set up more things..
So who is all interested and any ideas on what we should do? Please respond here and let us know, if enough people want to, we will set it up. So please let us know.

I’m all up for more group projects. Not entirely sure what we could do though. We could just do more fieldpieces, haha...Just kidding. But yeah, I don’t know what group projects we could do...The only thing I can think of are more of the “individual” group projects (sig of the month, sig battles, wallpaper things, etc.).

even more of those would be very cool.. but i would be down for more fieldpieces.. i also threw something at Seluna about mabye telling a story through signatures, or something odd like that.. who knows.. would love more ideas from people..

I have an idea, not sure if it's been done before (fuzzy memory ftw) but if most of us are using photoshop, we can try doing a 'layer-ing it up' where each of us adds one layer on top of everything else that's been done and only edit that layer and nothing else.
Just throwing it out for consideration. Any more ideas?
*Added* D: Sorry, Voyou, I just saw your PM. Story-telling through signatures... how to do that?

I still have the Dreamers League thing in my mind, so I could set that one up.
Edit: Well, I was planning anyway, but the fieldpiece was enough for the time anyway.

You know, that might be kind of cool. Basically we’d each take a scene (ie: fight / aftermath of fight / calm scene, etc.) and tell a story that way? I think that’d be pretty neat. It’d still be like a fieldpiece since we each have our own scene that we blend in with the previous, but it’d be more structured.
Sel’s idea would be good too, though the sig might get complicated/crowded. It’d still work though. And Pes, I think it’d still be good if you set up the Dreamers Battle League. Though if we start up all these other things, some people may not have the time to join, but I think it’d be good to have it running regardless. That’s just me though.
I’m really liking Voyou’s idea though. Telling a story through the art would be great. Hard, I imagine, but fun.

Yeah, that is why I haven't set it up yet, as it requires people to make something almost every week, which could be annoying if there are many other things running along as well.

as far as telling a story, someone would have to come up with a basic idea of a story, then everyone who signs up gets to make one piece, we go in order somewhat similar to how we did in the fieldpiece. It is really a fieldpiece except instead of a theme, its a story.
So for example, and this is primitive and not a great example but im terrible at writing stories...
I make a sig of a man holding a sword to a certain background and i write a tiny paragraph about mabye what is happening or something about what the man is doing.
Then Pes follows behind me and makes a sig that blends with mine, (does not have to be same character) and in the writing underneath he writes mabye a paragraph of what is happening here that ties in to my post. So it will be a combo of storytelling and artwork, all to portray a single story. Now the characters we use in the sig i think could be different ones (would be boring with same image stock in every sig) but the story could all flow together..
what do yall think? Did i explain that good?

Essentially like those cut-scenes in Fire Emblem (for those that have played it) where they put the picture of Ike or somebody, then the text appears? Happens in FFXII too (and probably a lot of other games).
Instead of us coming up with a story beforehand, I think we should just wing it. Go from what the person before us had. That way we won't know what to expect, you know?

actually making it up as it goes sounds a lot better.. makes it more interesting to see what people come up with.

Like a comic book. I like it. I think that's my favorite idea so far, I bet it could be really creative.
And I still like the GFX League too.

We can do both. But what can be done is this.
We do the league first because its definitely shorter then fieldpiece. Lesser time for waiting Anyway.
Then let the overall winner of League start the "Story", 2nd place be 2nd. In this way we do both and we get the list sorted Instead of the first come first serve thing. Thus it would really be a "Dreamers Project"
Not to forget. For normal field piece. People who don't like to wait can do it like long time ago, then just ask someone to blend his with others. But for a "Story" we have to wait for the plot to decide what to do for the next one. So yes, it will definitely take a lot of time. Please do take note of this.
A story field piece can be twice as time costing as a normal one since You need the right picture to give the really right feeling to FIT the plot. Normal work is more of the Text fits the work but this time its the other way around. Which is definitely harder.
This is what i think though.

i figure we would put up a vote similar to the past fieldpiece, asking how long people think each entry should be given, i am guessing 1-2 weeks myself just to give everyone plenty of time with their piece.
I do agree with Bloo about the league, then take the winner and have them start the fieldpiece, i think that is a good idea. How long do we think the league will take?

would have been so much easier if i had just explained it like that

We could just take the results of the league and have everybody go in that order then, instead of just taking the first place winner and having them start. Or maybe that’s what you meant anyway...
