I'd probably want to see a film adaptation of God of War. And no lie, I think Goldberg would be an awesome choice for Kratos. I can totally imagine an EPIC movie of myths vs man, on a CG stage like Transformers almost. It's a dark enough movie with enough action, blood, and intrigue that it could easily become a series, especially since the game is a series.

Legend of Dragoon always seemed like it could be a cool movie. The plot is predictable, sure, but it could be a good action/fantasy movie, what with dragoon fighting and whatnot...I dunno. If they really took the time with it, it could be good. Then again, that goes with just about every other vg movie anyway.

So yeah, Legend of Dragoon. It's my favorite game, but I just think it could be pulled off as a movie and look good...Not that it'd ever happen, but still.

Shucks, it has to be a movie? Well, hrm... I enjoyed the Silent Hill movie, and on that note, I definitely think Silent Hill 2 would be a great candidate for a movie, as long as it stuck to the original story. SH2 just has that psychological thriller thing going for it, on top of the horror element. I never expect any movies to do a good job with horror these days, but I'm sure Gans or someone could do a good job otherwise. (I accept that the first SH movie had a weak script, so that would be the one thing I would like to see improvement on.)

Oh, and on the Silent Hill note: Jim Carrey could so pull off Henry Townsend.


I'm sure I've got a few others in mind, but I need time to fish them out. I'll add on later, if I think of 'em.

Ninja Gaiden would be badass. It'd have to be done in Japanese and gory as hell with loads of limb slicing, blood geysers and all other sorts of nonsense. It'd need to be done in the old style samurai flick like the Lone Wolf and Cub flicks.

Otherwise... They're probably making a movie for anything else I could think of.

Final Fantasy VIII and Chrono Cross.

But I do not want them to squeeze everything into one movie. Thus I hope they can split into different movies.

I would like to suggest one (or a few) of the final fantasy games... but I'd rather just keep them as games. Feel good spin-off movies are great though, especially for FFVIII and FFVI. I thought of Disgaea (cartoon, not live-action), but there's already an anime going. I really need to hurry up and get that anime




This would be really interesting, I fell in love with the cutscenes. I picked up this game years ago (just renting it) and it was the very first time I had been blown away by graphics in an rpg, not to mention 'Zomg this game actually has talking in it!!!' Just thinking of the costumes when they go into Dragoon mode makes me tingle and for some reason I keep picturing Angelina Jolie being Rose

Shadow Hearts would look pretty interesting. I am only talking about the first two games, as they are directly related and would make a good movie. I'd watch it.

Liv Tyler actually looks sort of how Rose is, though I'm not the biggest fan of Liv Tyler. She draws a match though. >.>. Angelina Jolie is too...too...I dunno. Haha, yeah, that's kind of lame of me. I don't really know why I'd say no to her. I mean, in all honesty, I'd go and nominate Helena Bonham Carter for the role. Not in the least bit out of fangirlism (Rose = favorite character, Carter = favorite actress. Combine the two = pure love.). xD. She'd do her justice and would be better than Liv Tyler anyway. ^^

Haha now I'm picturing all 3 in the big purple dragoon outfit I think I thought of Angelina because of her darkness and overall appeal. As I found Rose to be a really strong and dark but appealing character. Her usual outfit would definitely suit Jolie as well.



Hmm, I can see Liv Tyler's looks, but I wouldn't be happy to see her trying to pull off Rose, just something about her, I don't not like her, just something. It's not too hard to give Ange blue eye contacts and jet black hair. I've only seen Carter in Sweeny Todd so I can't really judge her at this point, though if she's your favourite actress then she must be worthy

I'm another that'd say Legend of Dragoon. The game's a favourite, and I think that, if done well, senes such as the Dragon Campaign battles featured in the game could look amazing in the cinema.

I could swear i've replied to a thread just like this. Anyway, I'll say again, right now, if there was one game i could turn into a movie, it would have to be uncharted: drake's fortune. There's maybe other games a love more, but I doubt they could be translated as successfully as this game could be. Superb game, grea plot, visuals, voice acting - this is the indiana movie that hasn't happened and should. I swear everything in this game lends itself to a great movie.

Somehow I always used to imagine FFix as a movie. .___. I think it was more of an infatuation with the game that compelled me to wish for the videogame version, although I have no idea how they would compact the whole story into a 2 hour long movie.

I don't know, somehow I get the feeling that RPG's would make bad movies, since they're so big and ornate in their plotline. Maybe a fighting game, like Guilty Gear. *o* A live-action Dizzy, that'd be intense.

I pretty much agree with Apple on the rpg point. I can think of rpgs that could make great movies, but i chose against them since I just can't see them being converted well/pleasing the fans of the games. Look at FFVII:AC. I liked it, but alot of people were dissatisfied. Thats why i chose an action/adventure game. Lends itself a whole lot more to a movie. Can't wait to see prince of persia turned into a movie.
