Shaizes. I scrolled down a bit and saw Koala's piece and thought "oh cool". Then I scrolled down a bit more and was like "wow!". Even though I like the sweets theme in Koala's sig, the ken sig really blew me away. The colors look perfect.

So I vote for Laguna's piece. This is one of the best sigs you've made for sure.
When did you get so good?

Laguna gets my vote since it's more to my tastes (dark and grunge-ish), though I like them both.

Laguna: You've really gotten good with this new style. =). I'm not a fan of all that blur / smudge you've done in some places, but it's really good and grungy. I love it. =).

Koala: Like everybody else has said, yours is cute. Unfortunately I don't have much more to say on it. Sorry..

Sorry Koala but Laguna's blew me away. It fits perfectly with the forums black skin. If I liked Virtua Fighter, or had even played it, I'd want that big time. Nice job Laguna, you seem to have improved exponentially fast.

In consolation Koala, you were my favorite australian animal when I was a kid.

Thanks everybody! Just recently I tried to for more "out of border" sigs and color designs. I started fooling around more with the "Curves" options and Layer Masks instead of going for contrast and textures. It's apparently working out well.

With the Ken sig, I noticed somebody said they weren't sure if they liked the grungy feel of it, but I know when I was designing it in my head, if uve seen any of the Street fighter 4 promos, the art/grunge and blood splatter is their new style, so I wanted to imitate that in the sig.

That Ken Signature is awesome man, great work. Did you do the Street Fighter text yourself?

My vote goes to Laguna too, because his sig is just that nice. He picked the right stock, put them in the right places, and used the right colors and everything. Nice.

Good question. yes and no. that's the original stock image from the Street Fighter 4 image but BOY did I do some minor changes to it.

1. I made about 3 layers of it and blended every single one differently.
2. Changed the Contrast and Curves on it and did some color overlay so it wasn't a clashing yellow that the original stock is, I needed it to have a reddish tint to match the sig and be SOMEWHAT blended so that it didn't stick out too too much.
3. Used some Layer Masks to draw some black grunge things around and through it to make it appear somewhat faded. This is most noticeable on the Roman Numeral IV (The top and bottom of hte roman numerals u can see 2 black streaks running through it, this is the layer mask I added)
4. Played around with some outer glow, and really feathered and erased the edges on a couple of the layers. Took me a while to get it right.

My vote is going for Laguna's. TEH FLONNE ICON IS SO CUTE. ;o; I love how adorable it is, but I'm a sucker for dynamics, and the Street Fighter sig is quite dynamic. My only complaint is that I would love some varying shades of warm colors in it, like more yellows and oranges, just to make it a little more edgier. <:D

The thought crossed my mind, but the Text itself and Ken's hair is already enough contrast. I threw in some more yellow originally but it REALLY clashed and took away some of that "abstract flow" that is in it. The yellow threw off that luminous red glow, so I played it safe and just kept the contrasting points the text and his hair.

When I clicked on the topic and saw Flonne, I though yeah this is a cute signature. Then I saw Ken and I was like, omg =O.
Definitely gives a good first impression.

I am going to vote for LW's piece, as I like it more. Not that Dookie's piece is bad, far from it. It just that I like the Ken sig more, than the Flonne.

Yeah I voted for Koala's because it is without doubt super cute and I really like the text used and although I really like the Text and Render in LW's I have trouble with the red background. It messes with my eyes but thats because I'm a bit colorblind, still like it though.

Lol. Thanks LW thanks Spike. Haha. I think I learned a lot from the battle. Eventhough I dunno what I've learned but I learn that yeah its not really a matter of winning. more of a matter of have fun and Bring out a spectacular battle out for the people I guess =)
