Do any of you get fancy console skins, or do any of you have the "special consoles" that come with the skin (for example, you buy a game + console bundle and the console is plastered with images to promote the game)? Are there any you'd consider getting for your console, or do you prefer to just leave them the way they are?

I don't have any skins, though I've thought about getting one eventually. Maybe.
My PSX is littered with FF7 stickers and my PS2 has a big Disturbed sticker (promotional thing for Believe) on it.
I'm generally pretty content with the default look of the console, but I may pick up a skin or case or something someday, if I find something I like.

I skinned my DS back in late 06 or so, and even though the quality is barely par (it's good, but could have been better with the money I had spent on it), I still wouldn't change what I have on it. I also have a Game Cube skin design, but, well, the place that used to do custom skins decited to nix that option, so, I have the template but no way to get the skin =P Doesn't matter now anyways. I rarely use my Game Cube.

I bought gamecube over the net a few month ago, and it happened to be a resident evil package of som kind, anyway.
I don't dislike resident Evil, but i'm not a supporter either!
so i grabbed a few Final Fantasy-stickers i bought some years back and put those over the logo's!

ehhhh, I'm not one to skin any of my consoles. Somehow it seems kind of....gaudy to me. D:
I was tempted to skin my DS with some Hello Kitty templates, but I opted to get a $20 Hello Kitty DS case instead. :D /bricked
My brother put some weirdass stickers on the PS2, and I think that's where my dislike for skinning started. :\ It just got dirty and gross and ickkk. So much for the new ps2 look.

I've never really considered getting one skinned myself (til I saw the ToV / Dark Knight one for the 360, lameness aside). Personally I've always been content with the way the consoles come, but I'm not really opposed to getting skins. It's just something I've never really done. There are quite a few that I think are neat though, but I don't see myself shelling out the money for them (unless it's one of those promotional consoles + game bundles like ToV, though that particular console is Japan-only), and obviously that would be when first purchasing a console.
*shrugs*.

Well, the idea of skinning is for both to add a bit of flavor to the consol, but also to kinda protect it (so like, when you're tired of your skin or go to change it, the skinless consol isn't scuffed (this'll be more for handhelds, but my GCN got pretty scarred up with all the moving I've been through)). That, and I'm a dork who likes to draw. I like to think of designs to use like that.
