Hey all, been a bit, so I decided to actually try and make a new sig. And here we go!



I'm actually quite pleased with it. Oh, and I would suggest you look at it on a different colored BG.

It looks really awesome against the grayish color on DS Fanboy (had it open dragged the sig over it - it essentially has the same tone as your background, which makes it look sort of transparent. Pretty neat.). The stocks look hand drawn too. Did you do those, or are they from an anime or something? The sig looks cool though. Nice work. ^^

No, the characters are actually from the FLCL manga. In fact, they were on the covers. I had to take the FLCL logo off of the two on the left, and then recolor, which was a pain, but I obviously made it work. And the black parts of the border actually are transparent. I spent a bit of time trying to figure out how without loosing the white edging, but I eventually slapped my forehead went "DUH!" and figured it out.

Ohhh, that makes sense. You just erased the black border bits (or as it appears on the forum) in the actual .psd? I've tried that with a few of my borders, but I can never seem to get it clean looking. You did a really nice job with it. =).

Actually all I did with the black boarders was change the fill opacity. To 0%, of course, hence making it see through! I used a shape, placed as I wanted it, then changed the opacity. Simple, yet quite effective.

Brilliant. xD. When you mentioned it, I felt kind of stupid. I would have gone the long route of painstakingly (and inevitably inaccurately) erasing everything within the “black” border’s shape so that it was see-through on anything. That is a very neat trick though. I’ll have to remember it the next time I’m trying to do something like that, haha. =).

looks pretty good, not much else i can say that DB has not.
