RE5

Pretty sexy trailer. I will most likely pick the game up for sure!
Athrun
Good. A completely new trailer. I hate it when companies release the exact same trailer you've seen before, but with two extra scenes.

The game looks great so far.

This looks a lot like a Ganado to me.

And the car chase looked pretty awesome.

And the explosions look more realistic this time. I noticed they cause this light/dark effect that they were talking about before.

I can't wait for this game. If it's anything as good as RE 4, it'll be my favorite game of the year. I'm just not too fond of that new girl, but would rather have seen Claire or someone else. But they may still be in the game. Who knows.

Love that guy in the intro. Looking really good.

RE 5 apparently got a mysterious countdown on its website. And it was reported after the release date was announced (worldwide simultaneous release on Friday, March 13, 2009) so it's supposedly something else.

New Co-Op trailerL

Looks great. Every trailer I see makes the game look even better.

Co-op mode looks amazing. The only thing more fun than playing RE 4 is to play it together with a friend. Genius move.
I assume that if you play alone, the partner will act with A.I. as in RE 4.
Crimson Cloud
Resident Evil series never stopped to amaze me. The gameplay looks sick and the explosions are so damn realistic. The only sad thing is that there won't be Clare, or at least I think so cuz noone said anything about her. The new female character, Sheva if I heard right, looks cute and it will be pleasure to play with =)

that trailer was great. I think it looks just amazing and i really cant wait to get my hands on it!! smile.gif

I'm collecting my pennies for a PS3 and that game will be getting bought no doubt. The online Co-op, amazing. The trailer made me think it will have a lot of similarities to RE4 which is good, because I loved that game.
AnimePaul
The only thing that bothers me is that they left the tank controls of RE4 in RE5. I just hated the fact that I can't shoot and move at the same time or strafe. Leon moved so slow even when running and Chris seems to be the same way.

Has anyone read this interview with Richard Waugh? Fyi, he's the guy who voiced Albert Wesker most of the time (in RE:CVX, RE0 and RE4). I am véry disappointed that he won't return to voice Wesker. Richard Waugh is Wesker (to me, at least). Still, it was interesting to see what he had to say on it.

Nonetheless, this annoys me about as much as Cam Clarke not having done Liquid's voice in MGS4. As I said, I think Richard Waugh defines who Wesker is. This sucks. =/

Seriously? Thats just damn shite. No more "Brother!" then from that voice. I hope the rest of MGS4 is not rubbish too.

I watched the 4 in-game demos from IGN last week and the game looks awesome, and the inclusion of co-op will be rather fun.

Here's a new trailer on the game if anyone is interested. It's from the Leipzig convention.

Is this the newest topic running for Resi? If so, IGN have some awesome news today:

QUOTE
Capcom has confirmed that Resident Evil 5's control system is to undergo an overhaul, with a revised scheme to be unveiled at this October's Tokyo Game Show.

While Resident Evil 5 looks set to be one of the most attractive titles when it hits both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 early next March, there have been some misgivings about its rehashing of the now-dated control scheme introduced in 2005's Resident Evil 4.

Following rumours it would be replaced, the games producer Jun Takeuchi – speaking at the recent Microsoft Media Briefing, at which Kotaku were in attendance - confirmed that the changes would be made public at the imminent Tokyo Game Show.

With Takeuchi referring to the new system as similar to Gears of War, expect a new duck and cover system to replace the classic Resident Evil style of stop and shoot. How the changes will affect the slow tension engendered by the older system that's been a series staple remains to be seen, but we'll be bringing you full impressions from the Tokyo Game Show this October

All I can say is thank god. I mean, truth is, Iwould have bought this anyway. But having read the E3 previews last month, my major worry was the same old control scheme with the same old problems, and I spent a good amount of time bitching to my room-mate that Resi needs to at least take a step further and keep up with modern action games. Cover is becoming a convention in action games but for good reason; I'm not a big fan of Gears but cover was the best bit. Uncharted? great. Dark Sector? Ok, arguably not as great as the previously mentioned but the cover was solid. I don't want this to ruin the resi feel, but I think its a necessary and a welcomed change by me. Inventory nxt pls?

Althought good and interesting news, Resident Evil is supposed to be a survival horror not and action shooter. Seeing as Resident Evil 4 was not scary at all they need to sort it out. I loved Resident Evil 4 so I will still get Resident Evil 5.

I'm pretty sure RE was actually re-genre-ised (real word? probs not)awhile ago, and goes under Survival Action there days. Anyway, really Resident Evil is what Capcom make it, not what you decide to term it. I say make the ebst game they can then term it, not work to people have decided it has to be. That makes for bad games. I think its a great idea, and the next-gen capabilities in relation to lighting etc is probably going to inject the scariness back in quite a bit. RE4 was great but slightly dated in terms of controls and gameplay; this is the future and I welcome the RE franchise to it.
