I only really know of Kid Icarus from SSBB, so I can’t exactly comment much on this. Do any of you want to see it for the Wii?

In the months leading up to the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2008, sources told IGN that a Wii remake of Kid Icarus was underway and destined to be unveiled at the event. Unfortunately, a day prior to the show, we learned that said project would not be on display after all. So when we met up with Nintendo mastermind Shigeru Miyamoto, we had Kid Icarus on the mind. Our first question was, simply, where is Kid Icarus for Wii?

Miyamoto smiled. "Yeah, I'm not the producer of any Kid Icarus titles," he said coyly. "There are some people who have some different ideas, but since I'm not the producer I can't comment on anything."

When pressed onward, asking him to confirm that Kid Icarus was in development even if he isn't producing it. Miyamoto laughed and reiterated his answer. "I'm not the producer of any Kid Icarus game, so I really can't say anything. Sorry."

IGN continues to believe that Kid Icarus for Wii will be unveiled in the coming months.

Kid Icarus is older than most members on the forum, including myself. Doesn't mean I haven't played it. I played about 3 to 4 years ago when Valhart hooked me up with the title. It's quite good 2-D side scrolling game or should I say up scrolling? Still hard to believe how unbelievable annoying NES games were back then. Not in a bad way, but in a good way since it provide a challenge, which Nintendo seems to be shying away from these days. Kid Icarus is a classic, but can give a handful of people a challenge these days.

Or, you could just play Contra to see how hard a NES game was compared to today.

Anyway, I was highly expecting a Kid Icarus title around the Wii release to give Kid Icarus brand more attention since it has been 22 years since the brand last game was released. If you want to count GB title, then 17 years. General point is it's been a long time and Pit due to return to gaming scene. Not just in SSBB. I just hope the game offer difficulty levels. Offering difficulty levels would appeal to people just looking to have fun and those looking for a challenge.
