I vaguely remember a topic about this.
But yeah I really want to hear what defines a Topic Theme and Style.
I mean... I can have a topic "Valentine" and a "Valentine" Theme.
Then I can have a Theme call "Vintage" and a "Vintage" Style.
But yeah I think there is a need for clarification on these terms you know or yeah sometimes we(mostly I) might use them without knowing exactly which one is the right word to use.

Theme is basically what the subject of your sig is, so the style is how the theme is presented visually. So if you have a theme of murder or something, the theme itself would be more of the “noir”, and the style itself would probably be dark. The theme and style tend to be the same sometimes, though not always.
If maybe that helps...

@.@
So much wordplay! My mind was getting confused. @.@
Topic and theme are kind of the same. They both tell you what your sig should be about. Style is how you present it visually.

It is basically what Apple and DB said:
Topic and Theme are the subjects, say, the battle is about. For example anime. This means that the topic/theme is anime.
Style is, as Apple said, the way you present your work. For example grunge, noir, modern etc etc.
Hope these answers helped ya =P.
