I know this sounds sooooo cheeze, but I suddently thought of this. Has any anime series out there (or manga) insipred you to feel a certain way, or do something, or even think a little differently? I mean, it's probably a little absurd to believe that an anime or a manga could do something like that, but you never know. (:

Here's a few

Neon Genesis Evangelion
Stop being a sniveling coward and own up to my mistakes, and stop being an introvert (still need work on that though).

Eureka Seven
"Work hard, Don't beg for it, or else you'll never get it."

Saikano
Cherish the time you have with you person you love. Love with all you're heart, don't be afraid to "rub" against them the wrong way. After all that's just how love is.
Loomis
Yakitate Japan

No matter how awesome your other anime shows are, you can still obtain the same story, effects, and emotions with a show about making bread.

i dont think its absurd to think an anime or manga can inspire. Inside of these forms of media, they do teach also. A lot of animes that i have watched have had episodes dealing with life issues, etc. I mean you take what you want from them.

D Gray Man i think taught me to sometimes lean on my friends and trust them a bit more, that you cant do everything by yourself.
Manc
Yakitate Japan: made me wanting to bake bread, didn't have any oven so... no can do!

the opening and endings of Full Metal Alchemist make me wanna train, I did push-ups and sit-up alot back then!
Why? I don't know!

Yeah, there's nothing strange about something like this at all. Hell, with all the anime I watch, much of my mindset is affected by my thoughts from the series I enjoy. A lot of slice of life series out there are made practically for this exact reason -- to teach various daily life lessons.

"Don't beg for things. Do it yourself, or else you won't get anything."
I think that was it. Certainly wise words.

I really can't point out anything specific, myself, but I definitely feel that anime/manga series offer a ton of material that viewers/readers can learn from. Even something as simple as character analysis can be helpful, if you think about how you can relate to characters and their situations, and think about how you may be able to apply similar decisions in your own life one day. That's usually the kind of thing I get from anime, more than specific lessons.

Let's see...

- Neon Genesis EVANGELION inspired me a lot of philosophic reflections

- FullMetal Alchemist and the philosophy of "you must offer something in order to gain something" also touched me deep, believe it or not.

- Osamu Tezuka manga biography.
