so what game do you think it could be?

QUOTE

In the latest issue of Famitsu, Atlus has taken a two-page ad out that hints at an announcement on August 1st. According to a quick translation from the folks at NeoGAF, the tag reads:

"On the day when Yin and Yang come together a new jiken (event/incident) will begin."

Seems like this is another Raidou Kuzunoha game. Any other guesses?

Poison Pink?

That's what I'm thinking, too.

I'm looking for the official site, but can't find it.

I was hoping Atlus would bring over Dragon Shadow Spell, but I highly doubt that's what the image is teasing.
Phisix
I get the feeling of something "witchy" from that picture, but that is just me.
Apple
Wtf is this Poison Pink business? @.@

I'm thinking it's something witch-based as well. Everything about the moon+clouds and the cat with green eyes just suggests a witch-themed storyline.

Maybe this? http://www.poison-pink.com/

I don't see any cat there though.
But the game looks pretty interesting.

The official page is going to be: http://new-moon.jp/
There's nothing there now though, apparently.

Another Devil Summoner game? The black cat with green eyes was in the last SMT Devil summoner game.
(the black cat in DDS had purple-ish eyes).
Razael
I also think it could be another Devil Summoner game.

on the kotaku site this is what they think the game will be.
Flame
I got my hopes up when I first saw it as another DDS game until the whole eyes things was pointed out (Although I've not yet finished DDS1 yet >.<) but looking at the came from the Devil Summoner game it most likely is something from that. I would love another random spin-off from the SMT franchise (Much like how DDS was). Atlus certainly are keeping themselves busy it seems, you have to give them credit.
Sigs Minock
next question is- for the PS3 or still sticking with the slowly dying PS2?

but i agree with more people, either another Devil Summoner game or an odd MegaTen spin-off.

Dammit, now I have to finish the first game.

I am sad we are still in early 20th century Japan. One thing I liked about SMT is that the games were played in modern times.

Either way, I hope they fix some of the problems the battle system had.

me too. i still have to climb up that damn tower in the first one.

i also hope they fix the "random" encounter rate as well. it's just really annoying when you get stuck in a fight every half-dozen steps.

this may be the last game for the PS2, but i don't know how many other games are still being released for the PS2.
Razael
Do you mean the tower that seems like its covered in flesh?

I passed that I think. What stopped me is the Orochi boss. This dude is a total #####. I am always about to beat him and then, bam, he gets all his health back from this little ##### helper. I tried to kill the helper but couldnt. Pissed me off.

July 30, 2008 - Atlus is bringing the Devil Summoner series back to the PS2, the latest issue of Famitsu reports. Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha Versus King Abaddon, as the new title is known, will hit the Japanese PS2 on October 23.

In this sequel to Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army, you once again play as Raidou Kuzunoha. The title promises updated battle and investigation components and a "more occult" taste.

The setting for the sequel has moved away from the original's capital city location to a village far in the countryside. Raidou is asked to conduct an investigation into the whereabouts of someone who's gone missing, and ends up going to the village with his black cat buddy at his side. As he conducts his investigation, he learns that a great danger is approaching the capital city.

New to the game is the MAG Scheduling Battle system. As part of this system, you strike enemies in their weak points to steal their "MAG," which is the name for the energy that demons require in order to appear in the real world. Your ally demons can use the stolen MAG to unleash powerful special skills. This system appears to encourage you to continue inflicting damage on foes, as doing so earns you more MAG which can be used to inflict more damage and further steal more MAG.

Kazuyuki Yamai is in the director's cubicle for the sequel. Producer and character designer is, of course, Kazuma Kaneko.

Well it's definitely Devil Summoner. The game looks like it might be interesting. I'll have to look into the previous game. Never played it.

Not only that, but the game was also badly localized. Sprite hair changes, face, etc, plus, no access to the Snow Queen Quest without a gameshark for the American release. The only thing good about the American release..is that it had a better Mark.
