So i am just curious, with the next firmware update that sony roles out, what updates would you like to see?

for me and in no particular order i would like..

In-Game Chat
Think Ventrilo or a program like that. I want to be able to start a chat with a friend (mabye a dummed down version of a chat with only voice) and then both of us go off and play seperate games while still being able to talk through the microphones. I know this might be hard to work with a lot of games having voice chat also, but i am sure Sony could think of something smile.gif

Custom Avatars
I know this is not a huge thing but it would really be nice to just pick an image off you PS3 and set it as your avatar. The only problem i could see with this is people putting up vulgar images as their avatars.

In-Game Web Browsing
I would like to be playing a game and be able to pop up the XMB, surf to an internet site and look up something.

Global XMB Access
I want to be able to access the XMB while playing a DVD or PS1/PS2 game. This way I can get that game invite from a friend while i am watching a movie, or i can pause the PS2 game to search something up online.

Away Messages, Appear Offline
I would like to be able to keep myself logged in to the PSN, but have an away message stating that I have gone to the store, or out to eat. Also the ability to make myself appear offline would be nice.

Customize Friends Lists
With almost every other bit of content on the XMB you can rearrange how it shows up, but with friends you only have the option of acending and status. I would like to be able to group my friends list in a way that i want to, a way that makes sense for me.

Gaming History
When i view a friends profile, i want to be able to see that the last game they played was CoD4 and it was 2 days ago, or the top 5 games that my friend plays are CoD4, Warhawk, etc. Something to track your game playing a bit and give your friends an idea what you are playing.

I think that is my list so far off the top of my head. While none of these features are in desperate need, these are just little things that i would not mind seeing from an update.

These features I really think that should be added inthe next firmware updates to come, if Sony wants PSN to be at least somewhat on par with XBL. In-game chat would be the most wanted on my list, though I still need to get me a wireless bluetooth headset. Everything else comes a close comes in second as a priority.
