I cried. I hate 3D animated movies. I'm sure those who have been clamoring for a film that is true to the game roots will be happy. I just don't see why it has to be animated. I suppose because it's coming out of Jap Land.

prolly so that its good. If you dont make it 3d, then they will just fill the cast with people who shouldnt have been casted and then hire a director who will completely stray away from the roots of the game and make a #### movie, oh wait they already did that to Resident Evil..and they didnt make just 1 crappy movie, they made 3.

Yeah, this definitely has been announced somewhere on here before... I looked around a bit, but I, too, found nothing.

Anyway, I'm not a big RE fan, but I may or may not wind up checking this out at some point anyway... I've got no problem with it being animated, but if I'm going to watch an animated movie, I'd rather it look like an animated movie, rather than a 2-hour in-game cutscene.

That's the trailer at the end of RE:Extinction ... I saw that trailer online a few times, but I don't know if it'll be any good, like Chalryn said, It may just look like a two hour cut scene... maybe they'll find a way to redeem the series, Overall, the RE movies have been slipping a lot... Mila Jovovich cant really act, she does action really well, but she portrays the wrong emotion, or displays an emotion for far too long... But she can pull off battle scenes and make them look seamless... Oh well, now we have to worry about voice acting, and cg.... A lot of pressure... I hope Capcom can handle it...

I saw a few screenshots of this and I saw two characters which resembled Leon and Claire from Resident Evil 2, 4 and CV. I am a Resident Evil fan, so it might be worth a watch. Does anyone know what the story is about?

I'm looking forward to this. One thing that companies keep ruining is the character appearance. Leon from RE 4 doesn't look like the Leon from RE 2. And in this trailer he doesn't look like either the Leon from RE 2 or RE 4. He just has the same hairdo as the Leon from RE 4. And as far as I remember Claire's appearance from the first RE, they changed her as well.

A bit of topic: Blizzard, too, did it with Jim Raynor. It was a drastic change in appearance.

Of course he did. Resident Evil 4 was a set a few years after Resident Evil 2, and as he joined the government he had trained and buffed up.

I actually only just watched the trailer for this (since ps3fanboy has an update on the blu-ray's feautures - click) and it looks pretty badass. I love CGI movies so this is welcomed and I imagine it could be pretty cool.

He's also got his Jacket of Awesomeness back that he lost early in RE4.

Meh, never was a fan of the whole RE series (hated the control scheme, that's what turned me off). The movie looks interesting. I might rent it if I have a "buy one, get one free" thing.

Liking the trailer. Never really payed attention to this until now. I cannot wait to see this baby. The monster at the end had the Birkin eye.

Leon looks badass and Claire is cute as hell. I'm gonna enjoy just to watch those two then =)

I already know I'm going to like this more than all 3 of the RE movies combined. Partly because Hollywood bastardizes almost everything it touches and partly because I like animated movies.

There are some pretty new clips out now, especially the one with 8 minutes. Good stuff indeed. Claire is a real cutie =)
