This is a painting I've been working on and off for the past two weeks. It's called a fisher cat. It isn't a cat and it doesn't really eat fish. I don't know why it's called that, but it's basically a weasal. One of them showed up around my house about a month ago. I've only seen it once so far. Apparently it's a huge ##### and will attack you for no reason. So I decided to paint it.

Made with acrylic and gouache paint, microns of various sizes, peace, love, and boomers.

And I did a little montage of inbetween stages.

first I wondered "what the heck is it" and didn't feel anything about it, then I saw the montage and it looked great!"

the first picture took time to digest and i had to decide what to think about it to understand what it is, while the montage... well it just grows on to you! and I loved it

Haha yeah it does look like a dog. I used a picture for reference but it still didn't turn out to look like the real thing. Oh well

It does look a little more like a dog. The painting’s really nice though. Not sure I like the red stroke you put around the outline of the fisher cat, but overall it’s pretty cool. Good work on that. ^^
