well it looks like this game will be coming to the PS3 and like with the Orange Box, an amazing group of people at EA will be handling the porting.. or atleast thats what they are saying.. Orange Box is playable, but there are def. a load of issues on the PS3 side..

According to the latest issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine, the survival horror/first person shooter title Left 4 Dead is heading to the PlayStation 3 after all. In a one-liner, OPM states the following: "Valve's survival horror game Left 4 Dead is coming to PS3, but EA will be taking on development duties in-house."

No other information is given. All we are saying is, if EA wants us to give their port of Left 4 Dead a chance, it better be nothing like the "slideshow" version of the Orange Box that PS3 owners got.

This is coming out for the 360 too. For those that haven't seen anything about it, it looks pretty ##### sweet. It will definitely be a hit online and with friends for sure. I'm looking forward to this big time!
The Evil Dead
I don't know what Valve's deal is. I understand that it may be more difficult to develop for the platform, but buck up. Form a dev team to port it to the PS3.

Failing that, EA better get it right. I'm definitely interested in this title.

Didn't most if not all the bug issues with the PS3 version the Orange Box get fixed with a few updates? Or are there still problems with it?

EDIT UPDATE

No PS3 Version In Development

Valve has dashed reports that a PS3 version of its co-op zombie shooter Left 4 Dead is being handled by EA.

A company spokesperson told CVG, "There's no PS3 version currently in production." So there you are then.

Valve is currently developing the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the exciting-looking shooter in house - just as it did with The Orange Box - while the PS3 has been left out in the cold.

The developer has a bit of history with Sony's console; Valve boss Gabe Newell even famously called the PS3 "a waste of everybody's time".

Marketing man Doug Lombardi told us earlier this year, "We're not PS3 developers - we're doing PC and 360 like with Orange Box. EA came to us and said 'Wow, Orange Box was an incredible project, can we do a PS3 version?'

"Left 4 Dead doesn't have that guaranteed appeal yet - it's a new IP," Lombardi explained. "If you mention a new Half-Life, people want to make as many versions of it as possible. If Left 4 Dead is big, then we may see a PS3 version later, or if and when we do a sequel, people may be more interested in that."

If you're a PS3 owner you might have to get yourself a half-decent PC for Left 4 Dead then, which is looking fantastic by the way.

it still plays very choppy cloudy and the load times are unbearable at times..

and yea i just read that about Valve denying it the other day, bunch of dicks..
The Evil Dead
It'll still come out for the PS3 if it's well received.

Either way, I'll have an x-box by the end of the year. I'll get it in one way or another if it's as good as I'm imagining it will be.
