The Last Battle
Back Round Story
Anthony Tar'Von gazed out of the window of his room in the highest tower of Castle Arthine. He repressed a shudder at the sight of thousands of torches rushing up the street and to the main gate. He had heard rumors that an army was on its way to Fathe. But he had never believed them until now. Lord Lomath of Tare had always been trying to kill the Queen of Arthine for years through assassinations, to gain the power of Fathe and set himself as King. But always flaunted, he got frustrated and threw his might against the walls of Fathe. The outer wall had fallen to an onslaught of catapults in every direction. Lancers rushed and crushed the remaining defences. He turned his back to the window as the huge metal gate was smashed aside and the lights surged into the Castle Grounds. He walked over to the large chest sitting at the end of his four poster bed. His mother was in danger, and Prince Tar'Von was not about to let them kill her.
He pulled out a long, gleaming sword with the Arthine crest upon the handle, a cross overlaying a willow. He belted the sword and sheath onto his leather belt. He pulled out a hard leather chest and chain shirt. He slipped out of his red coat and pulled on the chain shirt over top of his white shirt. A few seconds later, he examined himself in a mirror leaning against the wall. His long blond hair fell to the shoulders. His hard leather armor encased a short sleeved chain shirt. His flowing red, silk pants were tucked into mid-calf boots and a sheath adorned with the Arthine crest extended behind his right waist. He pulled the last bit of armor out of the chest, a gleaming kite shield with the crest on the front. He strapped that to his left arm and ran to his door as he heard sounds of fighting echoing up the tower. He wrenched open the oak door and started his descent down the winding stairs. A few moments later, he threw himself through the door at the end of the stairs and stopped dead. The wide hall was filled with men fighting. The Castle Guards of Arthine and Lomoth's men fighting each other.
Anthony drew his sword and threw himself forward. He dodged through the individual fights, trying to get clear of the fighting so that he may get to his mothers room. A man jumped in front of him. His sword gleaming red. His metal chest plate was dented and scraped and his helmet justly so. He stepped forward and launched and arching swing at Anthony's neck. The latter barely raised his shield in time to the sword to smash into the metal with a jarring clang. The man wound up and swung again, this time at Anthony's ribs. He jumped to the side just in time as the sword smashed into the ground. Anthony took the quick moment to dispatch the enemy with a hack to the throat, slicing the mans neck. The opposition dropped his sword and fell, face down to the stone floor, gurgling blood. Anthony jumped over the corpse and ran on, killing any enemy who blocked his path. He broke clear of the fighting and ran up a stair case leading to the third floor, where his mother's chambers was. He found the long hallway void of fighting. It had already passed. Bodies lay jumbled on the floor, lying in pools of their own blood and those surrounding them. Anthony did not take time to check whose bodies they were. He raced along the hall, not caring who he stepped on. at the end of the hall was a set of double doors. The doors lay hanging on their hinges, half splintered. Anthony hesitated for only a moment before blasting into the room.
The greeting room showed signs of fighting as well. Couches were torn, pictures on the floor. And several bodies adorning the normal decorations. A sinking feeling grasped Anthony, but he forced it away and ran through a door on the left, leading to his mother's private chambers. He quickly surveyed the room, or, what was left of it. He did not sheath his sword as he searched the dead. His mother was not among them. He walked around the bed and stopped. His eyes tracked to the center of the huge four poster bed. His mother's was resting calmly on the pillows, with blankets up to her neck. He quickly sheathed his sword and wrenched the covers off. He gasped and choked on tears at what befell his sight. His mother's body held a single gaping would in the middle of her chest. The blankets and sheets were heavy with blood. He quickly covered her back up and kneeled on the floor, vowing to get back at Lord Lomath, no matter what it took.
Many days later, after Anthony rallied the Arthine army and pushed Lomoth's men out of Fathe, and they set about cleaning and rebuilding, Anthony was appointed King of Arhthine. He ordered the entire army be mustered and sent his request for new recruits... The Last Battle was on approach, and many strong soldiers would be needed...
Guide Lines
Please try to keep your IC time in sync with everyone else's, if at all possible. I hate it when one person is in a heated battle at midnight and another person decides to take a nap and rushes to the next day. As such, please be conscious of what's going on around you, and try not to mess up the flow of the story.

Blade Master- These men are like Foot Soldiers, but way more skilled in the long sword. They wear light armor and use long swords and rarely use their shields. There are usually only a few in an armies ranks.
Knight- These guys are the armies best. They usually wear heavy armor and use anywhere from lances to swords. They are also mostly found riding horses into battle. There are very few of these soldiers compared to the rest.
Fencer- A fencer is a person who wears light armor and usually wields a rapier a knife or other bludgeon weapons. They specialize in quick fighting, jabs, slashed, ect.
Foot Soldier- These men are the ones who go into the fight first. They wear medium armor and carry swords and shields. Very rarely do they ride horses. There are normally vast numbers of these.
Assassin- Assassins do the peoples dirty work and very rarely are considered soldiers. They use a whole array of weapons. Daggers, throwing knives, short swords, anything to get the job done. People usually don't take kindly to the presence of an assassin.
Ranger- A ranger is good at both the sword and bow. But not a master at either. Normally carrying a long sword and a long bow, these men are mostly clad in light armor.
Elementalists:
Air- Air Elementalists can manipulate the air in almost anyway. Whether hardening it into a weapon, thickening it into a shield, and other things. But the more they do and the bigger of a manipulation, the more tired they will be after. If they try to manipulate more than their abilities, they die.
Earth- Earth Elementalists can manipulate basically any kinds of rock or earth. Sand, dirt, stone, ect. The same rule applies with Earth Elementalists and all other kinds of Elementalists, if they manipulate more than their abilities, they die.
Water- Water Elementalists can manipulate water in many different ways. As a shield, hardening it into a weapon, and almost anything else.
Fire- Fire Elementalists can manipulate fire to do their bidding. Their fire cannot harm them in any way. They could produce a flame sword and hold it without it hurting them at all.
*Note- two elementalists can combine their powers to do other spectacular things. Earth and Fire can combine to make small meteors for example. Use your imagination!
Rogue- A rouge is some one who is usually rather sneaky. They very rarely wear armor and use small weapons such as a light crossbow, throwing knives and maybe a short sword.
Thief- Thieves are basically self explanatory. They use short swords and throwing knives. They can easily pick a lock on almost anything. They are also pretty stealthy.
Spear man- A spear man is the front lines of an armies defense. Carrying long pole arms, they try to push back an enemies attack. The wear medium armor.
Scout- A scout wears no armor and is fast with long endurance. They normally only wear small weapons such as daggers or short swords so nothing gets in their way.
If you have any questions about the classes, just ask. Oh, and no God Modding if you please. For example, a wizard cannot summon a meteor and crash it into the midst of an army and kill them all. Everyone has limitations.
Also, please keep the equipment rather simple. Looks etc. can be anything that you desire, but do not make it so that you sword can rent a man in half effortlessly or anything else of that sort.
(Edit)Also, please beware that we will be traveling, a lot, so if you would like a horse already included with you, you may put it on your sheet, if not, you will have to buy one.
If anyone reads this and does not like it for some reason or another, I would like some feedback on how to improve it please.
*Note- Looting is permitted, any items that an enemy owns when it dies is free game.
