Ok folks, I know I'm going a little "old school" on this rant, but I need to get this off my chest.

I HATE it when I finally get my hands on a game I REALLY want to play and then I cannot finish it because the game is buggy/disk is damaged etc.. Example: I finally get Legend of Dragoon and get to a third of the way through disk 2. I enter the stupid haunted ship, and notice that after two or three battles, the graphics decide to not load up after the battle. Also, when I beat that stupid Lenus in her dragoon form, I get my experience, and then the game COMPLETELY CRASHES!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. I JUST WANT TO PLAY MI JUEGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so does anybody else ever have this problem with playstation one games???

With Playstation 1 games? No, I've had it happen with a PS2 game (Xenosaga: Episode I), but never with a PS1 game. But sometimes with graphic problems you could try changing the graphic settings of your PS2. I know Xenogears freezes at some point on a PS2, unless you change the graphic settings. Then it works fine, but I just use an emulator anyway. Ever considered trying one? A decent PSX emulator will play most games nowadays.

I tried a PSX Emulator, but it confused the living ##### out of me. What point in Xenogears does it freeze?

Anyways, I have had that happen only once on the PSX and that was with Suikoden. It froze while trying to load up the first duel that you have. With PS2 games, It happened on Persona 3, but I heard that that was happening to a lot of people.

*spoilers* In Xenogears, when you're playing the game on a PS2, the game might freeze during the first battle (not the final one) with Deus, when it uses a certain attack. It happened on my emulator too, actually. But I just kept reloading my savestate until he wouldn't use that particular attack. It's a well-known glitch. Changing the graphic settings of your PS2 solves the problem, or so I've heard.

I've never heard of problems with Persona 3, though. Never had any myself either. Guess I'm lucky.

Happened with me as well with Lenus and Regole (can't recall how many times I beat them in the hopes that it would suddenly work). You need a PS1 to get beyond it, unless you just get lucky with a PS2. I've known a lot of others that had that same issue as well.

I had the problem in Xenogears right after I beat Redrum, don't know if it was the disc or playing it on PS2, but it seemed to happen there on another playthrough. Fortunately, Redrum isn't the difficult battle that it seems to be for just about everyone else so I had no trouble doing it again, but it was just annoying.
