I attempted the final dungeon (separate save) in Arc the Lad 2, and found that my characters were 30 levels behind the enemies there. All my attacks constantly missed, my spells did only about 30 damage against some of them, and worst of all, some of the enemies know "Cure". So anytime I got close to killing one of them, another enemy would cure them instantly.
Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, since leveling up would normally solve the problem, however, leveling up at this point in the game seems to be impossible, since there's not a place in the game that gives me sufficient exp. anymore, and my whole group needs at least another 20-25 levels just to stay competitive with the final dungeon enemies. Even the Diekbeck trick isn't helping.
Does anyone know of an alternative way to level up in the game, or should I just call it quits for now?

Yea you need some decent levels to beat the game. The last boss is one of the hardest bosses (or you could say cheapest) ever in an RPG. I had Tosh at level 125 and he was the only character who could even hurt the final boss. Took me like 3 hours to kill him too. What levels are you current characters at?

My characters are in the level 80-85 range. Where did you level up to get Tosh that powerful?

i haven't played my copy of that game in a long white [yes, the <Dark One> is a complete pain of a boss. two forms each with 9999 HP (maybe more), and there's only one square in front of him for an attacker.]
have you thought about the Undersea facility? it was one of the last mission-jobs you could take and i remember some enemies were tough down there...
