Heh. I know most people will never be interested in this film but. Yay! I'm a fan of the first two series so yeah.

Casting

Commenting on the announcement, Ortega said, "Peter Barsocchini's exciting script for 'High School Musical 3' called for the addition of three sophomore characters, so we set out on a massive casting search across North America and England to find just the right young actors to play the parts. We think these talented performers will bring lots of humor, new twists, and musical fun to the film. Jemma was one of the many young actresses that we met in London, and she impressed us with her singing and dancing, in addition to being very exciting and effervescent. Matt has a terrific personality, and a great sense of comedy and fun. And Justin had a great presence and charisma, besides being a wonderful comedic actor who could really dance. I am confident that the three new actors joining our original cast will help to bring great musical thrills, surprises and a lot of fun to Senior Year and the halls of East High."

I've never seen the first two, but my cousin's into the Disney channel stuff, so I've heard some of the first soundtrack. Can't say it's my cup of tea.

ok i am just going to say it, i am a fan. I dont know, ive grown up liking musicals, and i like the music in these movies. Yes its nothing amazing but its catchy and good, plus the movies to me are good.
Going to be watching this one when it releases.

Me too. The first one took ages to grow on me, if it wasn't for having an obsessed little sister then I would have never watched it at all. HSM2 I loved the first time I saw it ^^ it was slightly more mature and I enjoyed the songs and dancing more (I hated the basketball song from the HSM1 ugh).
The only thing that annoys me about the series is people saying it's 'the new Grease!' in order to get more viewers. I'm sorry if you feel this way, but no.
The trailer looks pretty wicked so far and funny
I definitely want to see it!

I'm not trying to insult any of you, but I only watch these movies because they are so stupid to me. I mean they are so ridiculous I actually enjoy them because they make me laugh so much.

This is just my opinion but, I hate high school musical. I think it sucks. Everytime I see it or hear it on the tv I change the channel or mute. I think that it's hugely over rated. I don't think the singing is that great and don't even get me started about the acting and the script. It's just a completly corny and bad movie ( if you want to call it that.)
Now, I love musicals. I'm not a musical actor; I just do normal plays but I love to watch them, on the screen and on the stage. I've seen all the major musicals like West Side Story, Rent, Wicked, Grease, ect. Now those are musicals. HSM just... isn't and it never will be. I don't understand why it's so popular. HSM's core audience from what I've seen from people around me is just teenage girls who think Zac Efron is hot. =/

BOOOOOO. High School Musical is a piece of #####. They couldn't think of a creative new show so they dragged some more kids out of the Mickey Mouse club and threw them in a movie with the most uncreative title imaginable, and produced billions of dollars.
I Can't go anywhere these days without hearing some gay song from that show.
Go watch a real ##### musical, kiddos. Maybe one with good music, and even a story line.

Thats not true. HSM is popular because little kids liked it.

The main reason why I haven't watched the HSM's is the main reason why Hanna Montana is still alive. When I see things like that, I start punching babies. If I saw Hanna Montana in person, I'd probally knock her out for screwing over the blessed 4th of July show known as Stadium of Fire where tickets were over 1k because of those stupid teenage yuppies who could have cared less that Blue Man Group was playing their FIRST outdoor live performance and would rather watch a mush-toast-vanilla-blaaaaaaaaaaaaah PORN STAR known as Miley Cirus.
And on that note, I'm gonna watch Phelps rock the relay.
