I'm quite surprised there's been no posts about this yet but here's the info:

QUOTE ('Rocksteady')
Rocksteady Studios is currently working on its next exciting title, Batman Arkham Asylum for the Xbox360, PS3, and PC.

Based on the core BATMAN license, experience a unique, dark and atmospheric adventure that will take you to the depths of ARKHAM ASYLUM. Move in the shadows, instigate fear amongst your enemies and confront The Joker and GOTHAM CITY's most notorious villains who have taken over the asylum. Use a wide range of Batman gadgets and abilities as you become the invisible predator and attempt to foil the Joker's demented scheme.

More Screens HERE

Screens look excellent with a bit of luck it will be as good as it looks.

I heard there wasn't going to be a Dark Knight game, but I guess there will be other Batman games. To be honest I haven't played a good Batman game since... Batman for NES. Not to say I've played them all, but I've tried out quite a few, including the ones based on the animated series, but nothing really caught my fancy.

Yeah, lets hope this breaks the tradition of bad Batman games. If the screens are anything to go by it could be promising.

Batman: Arkham Asylum Announced
Eidos and Warner team up to bring new game to PS3, 360 and PC.

by Erik Brudvig

US, August 13, 2008 - Eidos and Warner Bros. have sent out the announcement that a new Batman game is in the works. Arkham Asylum is under development at Rocksteady Studios for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and is slated for a release in 2009.

Hailed as a "haunting action detective game," Arkham Asylum puts the player in the role of Batman while he delivers The Joker to the titular loony bin. Of course, there's a trap set by the villains, and that is where the game unfolds. Arkham Asylum's script is written by Batman writer Paul Dini.

"In Batman: Arkham Asylum Eidos and Warner Bros. are building a true action adventure game experience worthy of gamers and fans," said Phil Rogers, CEO of Eidos Interactive. "Players become Batman, like he has never been seen before in a video game, as he fights through intense circumstances in Arkham Asylum utilizing his intuitive detective skills and aggressive melee attacks."

I've actually kept forgetting to make a topic on this, haha. I'm still really wary of getting any game based off of a movie/comic/book/whatever just because they're usually not the greatest (except for some. Some aren't that bad.). This one doesn't look too bad though, but I'll still wait 'til they're further along before I decide if this is something that interests me or not.

I'll keep my eye out on this though. Maybe it'll surprise, you never know anymore. =).
The Evil Dead
I sense another crappy Batman game on the horizon.

With all the hype around The Dark Knight, they could've aimed for a better concept than this. But I could be wrong. Maybe it'll be decent, but I have my doubts.
Voyou San
have a lot of doubts myself, but i will wait and see..
