It looks like the same game all over again. Except the adventure mode looks more fleshed out this time on the bottom screens. Good for those who can't get enough of Dragonball Zeeeeee.

##### it, I'll buy it. I am sucker for DBZ games, cant get enough of Super Saijans.
Crimson Cloud
I would really like if they do the story mode right this time. Put all the fights and if there are cutscenes, then don't skip them. If that won't work, then make up a new story mode with new characters. They could make a good RPG too.

So, this is, what? Something like Tenkaichi? In any case, I'm a fan so I'll probably pick one.
Pesmerga
The Tenkaichi games are pretty good, but how much more can they make?
Sure, the DBZ games can be quite entertaining, such as the Tenkaichi ones, but this has been done and done and done.

What I hope Bandai would do, is release the RPG version of the game. I think most players played the SNES card game that was sort of a RPG and you had to fly and such.
If they would release the game in that fashion, I think that would attract more people.

Instead of the fighting and continuous cutscenes, let them actually play the DBZ sagas. Let me control Goku and fly over the world to continue the story as was told in the anime. All the current games lack that and are nothing more than fighting games, something that is quite annoying, because DBZ has more than enough story to make it into a RPG.

There is a RPG DBZ game, series actually, called Dragon Ball Z Legacy of Goku for GBA. They were pretty good if you ask me. If they made something like that for PS2, I would be sold.
Phisix
I have not played a Dragonball Z game since Budokai 3 which I thought was the pinnacle. The screenshots suggest that more then just fighting will be present in this game, but I doubt we will get the full series full of saga game that we want. Isn't there one out on the Xbox 360 now?

Oh, and there was a proper turn based DBZ game on the Snes, which was turn based, I played it and got beat by Radditz or Nappa as I didn't train up enough.
Theferrell
Not a big fan of the video game series, I've played Bukodai and Tengaci (however you spell it) and liked the Bukodai's a lot better. Hopefully they keep all the cool characters in it.
Pesmerga
I know about those games Crimson Cloud, but I found those games to be utterly disappointing.

As Phisix said, there was a turn based RPG on the SNES, that involved a card game, sort of and followed the story of the Sayin Saga, all the way to Freeza, but skipping the Garlic Jr. Saga.
That game was pretty entertaining.

I thought they were done with the last gen consoles...

anyway, I'll probably tell my buddy about this, he'll definitely get it, he was thinking about getting burst limit, so why not?
Crimson Cloud
I would think twice before getting DBZ Burst Limit because:

There isn't a story mode, only set up pieces of fights in a certain saga. You get Krillin VS Nappa, for example, and they exchange three sentences and fight while using the same animation and moves in the cutscene which repeats itself every second time with every character's fight. The only new animations and different cutscenes are with Goku VS Vegeta or Frieza, in other words, the only ones you saw on the trailer.

- Story telling doesn't exist, you only get a fight and if you don't know what happened in the anime then you'll have no clue what is going on.

- The conversations between characters are sometimes written really bad and often not correct comparing to anime or manga.

- Ultimate moves don't look cool and entertaining like in the previous games.

- Small cast of characters, and even if it does cover a certain saga, few of the characters are missing.

- Weak and shallow gameplay with all the balanced characters who are almost all the same which in DBZ's case, isn't right.

- Except for Z Chronicles (story mode), online and offline versus mode, there isn't anything else to do. No special fights, no team fights, no tournaments and no building up your characters.

Well the game is out now since a few days back. Who has it?

I've played through Story Mode once so far. And this is actually purely a Budokai title and not Tenkaichi. But with improvements of course. At first I was iffy on the idea of going back to the Budokai controls again, but now I like it.

Some of the improvements includes the capsule equip system. There are no capsules that take up more than one spot anymore. You can upgrade a capsule in the shop to the next level. And each category has a specific number of slots.
Ultimate moves have one slot. Super moves (Like Kamehameha) have two slots. Healing items have one slot. And support skills have 4.

After clearing the story with Goku you can play as other characters.

I've been wanting to try this move ever since I first saw it in preview screenshots, so I'm going to buy Tenshinhan in the shop now and try it out.

Oh and also, keep in mind that this game is a budget game. It doesn't have all cutscenes, and the story mode is pretty straight forward besides some optional non story related missions. And the menus are no longer voiceed, for anyone who cares about that. But the gameplay has been improved, and there are lots of different minigames now.
Crimson Cloud
I will probably pick that up as soon as I can. I loved the capsule system in previous Budokai games and I'm pleased to hear that it's back. As seen on trailers, I know what to expect from a battle system. Can you tell me how many characters are in, what Sagas are covered and how are the cutscenes? Better or worse comparing to the first Budokai?
Athrun
The cutscenes are shortened down to basically sum up the scene, and I don't think any music plays in them. They look good though graphically, but they could have been done a lot better. I don't know how many characters are in the game yet, but the story covers the beginning of Z to the end of GT, so I think most characters are in the game. There are some movie characters in it as well apparently.
